I remembered one other thing/bug. Don't know if it's only my keyboard or what but I can't toggle single RADAR sweep using right Shift + /. Works with left, though.

Not a bug but kinda logic inconsistency I think :
Using the periscope I can see very far but am not able to lockon/lase a target. Still have to get within 5 clicks to lockon/lase which nullifies the periscopes benefit.
In RL to score a hit I would`ve to lase the target and then let the missile off, right ? Since the laser can extend beyond that range when using radar I should be able to do it per scope, too. Even if I need lock before lasing I should be able to lock static targets which sit around in the landscape, moving vehicles may be another subject (but I really don`t think so).

So I`d like to make a petition to extend periscope lockon/lase capabilities to radar range.

I bought Enemgy Engaged 2 (mainly because of it's native TrackIR support) without having heard of EECH and, to be honest, really liked the game.
I then read all the reviews saying that EECH was much better so I ordered that. It came yesterday but I can't get the damn thing to work! I've followed the installation instructions from EECH central to the letter but I get the 'Can't find Diamond tag' error.
I've tried most of the suggestions - reinstall, delete eech.ini, game.cfg, etc. All to no avail. I've re-installed it a few times and note that the game only stops working after I install the EECHAllMods.exe. I think I read somewhere that there is a bug in this? As alternative to the allmods I can't use the Mod installer as recommended at EECH Central because I don't have internet access at home (I'm using someone elses PC) so I guess I should manually install the mods. To do this I'm not sure which files I should download. Does anyone know?

ALso, when the game is in a working state (i.e. before I install the allmods) the TrackIr doesn't function. I've tried crafting an eech.ini with (what I believe to be) the correct TrackIR settings but this doesn't seem to work.

Sometimes, when the game starts the view just moves up as far as it will go. If I reset by changing views, the head just looks up again!

It maybe, that when (if ever), I manage to resolve the patching problems then the above two issues will go away.

Finally, is there a way to use two joysticks on EECH? I don't have a fancy controller but in EE2 I was using two joysticks - one for collective and one for cyclic.

The game is unplayable for me at the moment which is a shame because, it does sound cool from everything I've read about it so far so any help would be appreciated!

That's a bug in the all mods installer. Try installing each mod separately.



Well, you could still use the modinstaller on the PC which has internet access. I'm pretty sure it has an option of just downloading all the mods, and you can then copy all those files and install those on the PC with EECH. Alternatively you should be able to find most (all?) the patches at http://www.eechcentral.com/files/

The most essential however is probably to get the new exe: http://www.eechcentral.com/files/Game%20patches/Latest%20community%20patches/eechsetup1.8.6.exe

Yes, once you have a patched exe you can use as many joysticks you want.

I made this post in another area of the forum but can't tell exactly where, if this is redundant I'll remove it.

I've just did the fifth clean install of EEAH and EECH with the all in one mod. I still get the error, I'm trying to gather some info on this problem and hope from some inputs the problem can be resolved.

First question is was anything required to be removed from the registry when removing EECH and EEAH ?

Does this seem more like a system error or video error?

I get a cursor and an hour glass on the screen at the same time.

When I enable joystick the intial view in the cockpit is upward, with keyboard enabled it's normal.

I have a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, what is anyone else who is having or had this error using?

EECH works until I do the All in one mod.

You guys who did the reinstall and got it to work, any ideal why it worked after a reinstall?

My gaming machine is not online so the next step is to download all files with the autodownloader and install them after another clean install of the game.

One last thing, are there any developers that may know what this error means or indicates?
