I [currently] own Two HP PC's and a Toshiba LT. The PC's use SATA-2 {3G} hard drives. There are utilities I like to run on HD's that ONE of my HP's wont allow. I think it is due to being 'early on' in the RAID Mobo jazz, but it matters not; I cannot run Darik's Boot N Nuke or SpinRite 6 on it. Since the LT sees little use, if I could remove that drive and somehow hay-wire it into my LT, I could do the job.

A lot I don't know about.... this must be another

OK... I 'forgot' the SATA drive gets it's power from the MOBO... not simply from the power supply [as in PATA drives]. Probably a 'deal breaker', right ???
