I will be getting this and reviewing it for SimHQ.... seems similar to maybe Frontline: Fuel of War and/or Battlefield series... There also big supporters of the PC and server tools... so determing possible PC interest, especially the MP...

feedback/comments... well except you DD, this might not be "sim" enough for you. lol

Looks fun and they have some interesting twists to MP, plus co-op. Looks odd tho, Korea invading US lol.

Quite cheap too. Maybe a nice filler till RO is released.

I like KAOS Studios, I like Frontlines: Fuel of War and I'll probably like Homefront even better.

I'm looking forward to this title. It seems like it's full of immersion which I like

I didn't even know this existed untill I read this thread. I've watched the multiplayer reel and the story board here and it looks very promising. It's going to be a good year for games. smile

I'll wait for the reviews, it feels like the gameplay could have more resistance-y and less mowing down the N. Koreans left and right like COD. Kind of goes against the setting and immersion (I think it was IGN who raised some good points about this). Seems like it just might turn out to be a generic shooter and a missed opportunity. I don't think the rest of the game is strong enough to carry it if the core gameplay is mostly bland.

WTF are you talking about? It hasn't even been released yet! Take your brain farts and dump 'em in the toilet smile

Where did I mention it was released? confused

I'm not saying I played it or anything or that it's out, but there are gameplay videos and previews. Every one seemed like it was a generic shooter with a wolverines! plot without weaving the narrative into the mechanics much. When your guy seems vastly stronger than the Koreans, it just doesn't seem very resistance like. The only resistance thing was that your always a low on ammo, but it doesn't seem to extend much beyond that.

So I'd want to read some reviews before I go out and buy it, to see how the final game stacks up.

I guess I'm sorry for answering the question asked by the thread?

I'm guessing from your brain fart diarrhea that the answer is yes! smile

YES I AM! I'M SOOOOO EXCITED I CAN'T WAIT! You totally found me out!

It was so silly of me to disagree with your views on the game and support them with my observations! Anyone who disagrees with you must be having brain farts and could not possibly have valid opinions! Your eloquently stated argument has vastly raised my respect for you and shown me the light about Homefront! I'll be running out and buying COD:Korea gets in on the US-invading action... errr.. Homefront as soon as it's out thanks to you!

No, I'm not excited. Are you always this constructive or did you just make a special effort today? smile

I'm probably getting the Xbox 360 version. Not entirely convinced my PC can run it well enough to be enjoyable.

Ah 2 of my problem children again... one old, one new... Both Dirt Diver and FozzyBear need to learn how to post with some social skill. (And it's not the first time for both of you, both being on my watch list. ) wink

So, just what kind of a game is Homefront? FPS? RTS?

I suppose we should all have the same opinion regarding graphics and only base our purchase choices on that factor alone. lol

I think they look pretty good from videos. Also, the PC is supposed to look even better. People complained about the graphics from MAG and I think that game looks pretty darn good (my opinion of course).

The shadowing and lighting in Homefront look good from what I have seen (in the limited videos available and I like the gameplay design choices. The weapons look pretty detailed and you can have multiple attachments. I am really looking forward to how the game plays out considering the BP system and whatnot.
