...available on Steam in about 2 hours - at least that is what the speculation is - based on CA being a UK company and midnight GMT being about 2 hours from when I am posting this.

Got it - very polished for a demo - but AA not working. We must wait until release to see if the AI is finally up to snuff.

Ah. Told Steam to verify game cache and it found some corrupted files. Fixed.

Yep, that happens from time to time w/ Steam. But that verification process does get it fixed.

Played the battle.
The battle is obviously heavily scripted, so it's not possible to get an impression of the AI.
Units move incredibly fast - too fast for the battle to be playable and fun for an old fart like me. :-)
Combat is over in the blink of an eye, too.
I feel like I'm getting too old for the TW series...
Or just too old in general ;-)

Ran reasonably well, though, on my mediocre system.
I can see already now, that I'm going to miss the unit variety from Medieval 2 (especially with mods).
But it'll be interesting to see how moddable Shogun is.
Good mods can save any game.
