Using Win7 in a new computer and was wondering which "Zip program" I should download to mostly Unzip the many downloads from flight sim folks.

I looked at " 7-Zip " and noticed that there are two choices, one for 32bit and one for 64bit. I assume I would choose the 64bit.

What is your favorite Zip program??

Thanks, CW3SF

7-Zip by far. You need the 32bit version.

I've only ever used WinZip - until RAR files came out and it was just easier to use those with WinRAR. I still use WinZip for all my ZIP needs though.

7-Zip, and I have the paid for version of WinRaR but still prefer the free 7-zip.

Why would he need 32bit version? He never said if his Win7 is 32bit or 64bit. He did say he expects he needs the 64bit version so I assume he is running Win7 64bit. I use 64bit version on Win7 64bit.

7zip

I have paid for BitZipper, but use 7zip.

The difference in size between a 7zip and a.n.other archive can be huge (like 25% the size of a zip file - but smaller than any other I've come across).
