No, it's a Longbow (ahem, with pigeon looking in awe)!

I literally took this pic just 15mins ago. I'd heard a chopper in the distance for some time this morning/afternoon, but only then did it appear! I had my camera at the ready and was lucky enough to get a shot (pic). I thought it was funny that I snapped a pigeon in the pic as well, and it looks as though he's looking round at the Longbow! The pigeon was sitting on a telegraph pole and I took the pic from my bedroom window, that's why I appear to be almost level with him. Also luckily, the Longbow was moving fairly slowly, so I was able to zoom in and get it in time. Sorry, the pic is poor quality as the day here is very dull and gray and I did have to use the digital zoom or I wouldn't have been able to zoom in enough. I also resized the pic to try and enhance the quality a bit, plus cut the filesize (a pic of this quality doesn't need to be 184Kb!)

This is, of course, a British Army Longbow, and every year for the past 4 or 5 years, I've got to see it at least once.

I've seen one twice over London.
First time I saw it I was like WTF has someone spotted OBL in a Soho strip club or something.

Coot - it's OK, I largely use the American way of spelling as most of my online friends and 'target audience' are in fact American. Notice how I spelt 'gray' in the text above not as 'grey'? smile

After the bully birds see who this chap has made friends with, they will have their own TADS - Turds And Doodoo, Squirt! biggrin

By the way, you do know that by calling us 'chaps' that you are in fact calling us penises? Have you ever seen Top Gear? James May calls the male reproductive organ an 'old chap'. Shame on you, you gentleman sausage! smile

Further to yesterday's sighting of the Longbow - it came back today! Not only that, but it circled my area 6 or 7 times and I was able to get some pics and video clips. I compiled those into one video and uploaded it at YouTube.

Here it is:
