Right now I'm concentrating on getting all my Gustav skins up to current standards. After that I might do some earlier 109's again. I really want to do a 9./JG26 Bf109F but I can't recall havning seen any pictures that shows both the numeral and the badge and I would like to minimize speculation... If you have any suggestios please feel free to send them over. smile

Actually the flashy badges and the Geschwader shield of JG 26 disappeared completely when the unit received the Bf 109 F. Which means a JG 26 Friedrich (and Fw 190 for that matter) would be rather "generic" and "barren" with no heraldics apart from a possible pilot's personal badge or inscription. duck

Back to the eastern front - here's a couple of F-2s certainly worth skinning:

"White 7" with the 'red cat' badge of 4./JG 52 clearly visible next to the Geschwader emblem

"Black 3" with the 'little red devil' badge of 5./JG 52 on the engine cowling; both photos were taken at Lepel in July 1941.

Seems as if the photos are proving you wrong mate. smile They sure might have disappeared pretty quick but they were there for a while. It's interesting to see that one of the aircraft is showing a pennant on the antenna post so it might just be the aircraft of the staffelkapitän...

the badges of JG 2 and 26 were abadoned in summer 1941, looks like it was intended to keep it secret what units and how many units remained in France after the war with Russia has started

Now I've updated all the Bf109G-14/AS aircraft. There's lots of them so I'm only including screenshots of the new ones.
