having trouble getting the trackir keys to respond while black shark is running. they work fine when alt-tabbed out but once in the sim they don't do anything. i have cleared the key map for F12 but it still didn't work. Tried a custom profile with "shift-alt-f12" to recenter but that didn't work either, with or without the "trap" option ( whatever that does )
anyone have a trackir working with the control keys in DCS:BS?
oh yeah this is a TIR 3 with vector clip if that matters
I have TrackIR 4 and no problems at all. I didn't even have to configure anything in Black Shark. The TrackIR keys have priority - Black Shark never even "sees" the key presses on F9 or F12 as long as these are configured in TrackIR.
Could you try the TrackIR 4 software? According the the natural point website it supports the TrackIR 3 hardware as well.
Do you have other applications that support TrackIR? Is the problem unique to Black Shark?

I have TrackIR4 and have had a few games where it does not work for me either. But if you remap the TrackIR keys to joystick buttons it should work every time. Does for me anyway.

hmm good idea mutt, i'll try that. i do have the newest version of the software installed and it works in everything else i have tried ( IL2, Wings of Prey, Arma2, F4AF )
