Thought this the best place to post this even though it's on Earth it's sci-fi.

Bought this on release, even though I was warned off it, and having a blast with it. Yes, it has major issues at the moment with lag, servers being taken down for maintenance and general FPS issues but it has been improving every day and it has so much potential.

It's basically Eve on foot. A full PVP world where if you die and you aren't insured you lose your stuff. Not story driven at all, it has missions that you can do over and over for battle points and CC's (money) and get resources dropped from mobs to craft in game.

And the Guild friendships and enemies are already being made, with my current Guild, Sunder, being hated by everyone lol.

Hopefully they will pull this off as it has such potential and many more people join up.

I was kind of eyeballing this since they said it was a sandbox like Eve and it looks shooty, which I like. One question, is it all on a single server like Eve is?

Yep, all on one server like Eve and based in New York so you will get significantly better ping I guess. They have just singed a deal with a very good carrier for a EU border server too so that should improve for me

It's very shooty and reminds me of Eve crossed with Planetside(ish) but the art style is whats pulled me in and the total feeling of do whatever you want, make up your own story. When the Siege elements of gameplay is implemented soon it will really ramp up the Guild V Guild stuff.

I've been reading a lot of good and bad about it, so I'm a little concerned about dropping 50 bucks on it. They don't give you any buddy trial keys or anything do they?

I'll give you a 21 day one for Eve in exchange unless you are resubbing an old account.

If I get any trial keys I'll get you one Jeevz, but at the moment I don'y think they are doing them as they wan people to buy it and I don't think people would buy it if they came in on a trial. It is definately good and bad at the moment but I think it's like you with APB, I like it and can't leave it alone lol.

Yeah, true, everyone likes different stuff and some people's turd is another's treasure. Speaking of APB, I'm trying like hell to get into the APB Reloaded beta, as long as they don't screw it up too much I will buy a premium subscription day 1. I've been playing Crimecraft some in an attempt to feed my APB addiction and it's fun but not nearly as fun as APB was.

Apparently I am in the APB beta or so the email said but I don't think it's started yet has it? I didn't like Crimecraft, seemed very clunky to me and definately not as good as APB.

That email was just a reminder to sign up for it, the beta doesn't start until the end of this month and they haven't started picking folks to be in it yet.

If there is a trial, I will... try.. it.

Is there a 1st person POV option? From the vids online, I just see 3rd person.
