For a game I really don't like much, mainly because of the wheel feel issues and mega-bugs... sure playing alot of Test Drive Unlimited 2... here's a clip of the road just ending with no warning.

Nice vid, what was that clicking sound in the video?

Looks like a fun game racing like that through traffic, do the cops chase you down for speeding? That video kind of reminds me of one of my old favorites NFS2, I may pick this up someday when it is patched and cheaper.

I dunno, I can't make up my mind about this game. And at £34, that's too much to "try" a game that I may not like.

I loved NFS Underground, Underground 2, and I had the most fun with NFS Most Wanted. I've yet to find a racing game that is as fun as those were.

lol at your video Mags. I know the $1500 car wash is expensive but that's a little extreme.

I've not yet experienced issues on the PS3 edition but I don't have a wheel to enjoy these games frown

There's a lot of nice little touches, the way grass vegetations parts as you drive through it, phone cables, the sound when passing roadside cones and more. And a game that you can still play no matter if the servers are up or down, I love that the game engine can take it or leave it, just as it should. Seems to have some back-end issues though.

It could perhaps have more points of interest unlocked at the start instead of having to discover a clothes shop and some showrooms. And an extra car slot would have been good since you can compete in 3 different classes early on and you may have a pre-order car too making for 4 cars.

If there was one thing I would erase from the game, it's the cosmetic surgery clinic...and all the ghastly TV show/characters who seem to have their heads up their own arse, actually they remind me of the blonde cheerleader presenter from The Onion News Network. Maybe we're supposed to hate them?

Love the cruising around.

how do you play when the servers are down... PC edition, I couldn't see that, so had to exit all weekend.

And this game has alot of nice touches and features, just wish they would fix the wheel issue... it's like driving on ice, where you have to turn the wheel 180 degrees to pass a car or something... and of course a few bugs.

But for a game I couldn't recommend to anyone else, I sure am playing it alot more then I thought I would.
lol

Does the PC version have some online DRM system? If so that bites. On the XBOX and PS3 you just get a popup to say the servers are unavailable and you get named AIs instead of players cruising around.

Gee that bites.

As for driving on ice, it's not much different with a joypad, depends on the car. I might try a different setting, I have it on "Sports".

I thought it was only 25 pounds at GamersGate for digital download...

But anyway, I'd wait a while if you do end up wanting to try it. Let them work out their bugs and server problems. It's an OK game.
