Would be lovely if someone with far more patience than myself could put their handy work up for download...I notice the Tripe and Pup very rarely have a proper squadron skin...though they have a lack of generic squadron skins anyway...

Every time you create a new mission do you have to run the Acer programme?

I started new campaign with the PW-CGv7.0 flying an Albatros D.III of Jasta 11 stationed at Roucourt, Bohain starting 1.5.1917. I discovered that all the ground-start sorties have my flight's aircraft facing away from the runway towards the canvas hangars. What a mess trying to takeoff between the tents! I opened the mission file in ME and discovered that I can rotate the aircraft by changing the Yori value for each aircraft in my mission's flight from 254.0 - less 180.0 degrees - to 74.0. Now when I run the mission over again, the planes are oriented correctly facing the runway with the canvas hangars behind me. Is it possible to edit the Roucourt aerodrome settings in the Airfield.RofCampaign file to remember this corrected heading for all subsequent flights?

I also discovered that when four or more aircraft are assigned to my sortie, my aircraft gets tangled up with one of the left side hangars. In ME I found that I am able to slide the planes over a little manually to the right to remove my entanglement with the side hangars. Which setting in the RofCampaign file for Roucourt aerodrome do I edit to prevent this interferring ground-start placement in subsequent flights?

I was able to manually place a windsock at the aerodrome in the mission file using the ME following Vanderstok's instructions: "Adding a windsock is very simple. Select the "Flags" button (right hand pane) and then select "windsock" and place it on the map. You need to then create an entity for it with the "Create Linked Entity" button (left pane).
Enter the properties for the windsock. If you just want to use it as windsock (and not for a "capture the flag" game) deselect the count planes and count vehicles tick boxes and make the radius 1 meter. That's it. You can leave the "country" paramater as neutral."

There are values to edit for each aerodrome, but I can't say for sure how they work... it's been posted about 10 to 6 pages earlier, at the time of 6.1 release or such.

- The squad default skins are based on plane type and then skin code - and the code is uniform - so just as long as a Pup skin exists for a squad it will appear. Now, if there isn't one or they are mislabled - or the assignment wasn't made in the "SquadronInfo" file...well these could be issues. If you are not comfortable editing that file you can check the Tripe and Pup folders to see if skins exist and can rename others to the correct format as that may help as well.

- Format for Commonwealth squadrons is a s follows - using No 84 Sqn as an example:
102084
102 = Commonwealth
084 = 84 squadron
- So the skin in the Pup or Trip folder w/ that code will appear in game if it exists and if it is coded in the file.

- The ACER program does need to be run prior to each mission

(Side note = are you the same Wodin that is posting over at Battlefront.com?)

CMBN will rock and I will pick that one up right away.

Anyway, took a look at the Pup skin folder and there are 3 "ace" skins for RNAS 3 and thje Trip has about 5 for RNAS 8 & 10 - but that is about it regarding skins coded for Pat's CG. So that is the story.

hmm, i did this and edited the relevant line to 1 in the cfg file but i still get 'no mission results found' when i select 'auto report'. Should i be pathing in a certain file in that data directory or just to RoF/Data?

Try ?:\Rise of Flight\data

? = Hard drive letter. Put it in the config of the generator, 1st entry I believe.

The problem is one of two things:
1. You do not have RoF configured to output mission files.
2. You are not pointing RoFCampaign at the right directory.

Check your RoF data directory and look for files like: "missionReport(a date)[0].mlg".
If you do not see them then is is problem #1.
Solution: open startup.cfg and set mission_text_log = 1

If the mission files are there then we have problem #2.
Solution: open up the config screen in RoFCampaign and put in the full path to the directory that contains the .mlg files.

Hope that helps

How to fix the "I am stuck behind a hangar on takeoff" issue:

Open Airfields.ROFCampaign in the RoFCampaign\Data\Inputs directory
Look for your airfield
Change the offset parameter (this number is distance in meters)
- Decreasing it moves you more towards the field (this is what you want to do if you are in the hangars)
- Increasing it moves you more towards the hangars (this is what you want to do if you are in the trees)

When you get the right value, let me know. I will make a permanent adjustment in the release copy of the config file.
