Excellent question because this is exactly what I did. You will kinda understand in general what is going on BUT you will miss a lot of the undertones and you wont be emotionally invested in the characters so some of the events most likely won't be very compelling to you. Then I bought the 2-disc edition of the movie with all the new extras (original was barebones). Then I bought the series on bluray for the better picture and new extras. Then I bought the movie on bluray because it was cheap and I think has a few new extras. I have WAY too many of these discs. The Jedi Master _________________________ Back off, man. I'm a scientist.
