I followed the install instructions in the sticky thread and when I downloaded the textures file link for texturepackgeorgia2.exe the link downloaded a file named texturepackgeorgia.exe.
Now I can't delete, move, or rename this file. When I try it gives me this error:

Cannot delete texturepackgeorgia: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.

How the heck do I get rid of it. I tried booting in safe mode to get rid of it but it gives me the same message. Is this some sort of backdoor trojan?
I also have another file named texturepackusermaps.exe that is doing the same thing. They are both 13bytes in size.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The file is likely held by the explorer. What helps me in these situations:

1. Run cmd
2. Go to the directory the file is downloaded to (you can get the full specification from file's properties).
3. CTRL/ALT/Del -> Task manager.
4. Kill explorer.exe
5. In cmd prompt del the file. If I am right, it should work.
6. Log out or reboot.

Someone might want to change the link to the file in the sticky thread. I was able to get the correct file by manually changing the file name to texturepackgeorgia2.exe

I was quite paranoid myself when it happened to me the first time (not with these files, I had no problems with them at all). Thankfully, there is google now - but it took me a while to find this solution.

There is also a nice little program called Unlocker which is added to the right-click menu. So you just right-click an undeletable file and choose unlock and it shows you which processes are using the file and you can then unlock the file and delete.
