AHHH, my GOD!!!

Most of these pictures are depicting the Dvina V-750V (11D) missile, instead of the Volhov V-755 (20D), or V-759 (5Ja23)!!!
(just check the nose...)
duh

How to identify the conventional missiles of the SA-2 system...

SA-75M Dvina (SA-2B/F) "export version" SAM System
V-750V 11D (Guideline mod.1) missile

Long-double radio proximity fuse panels, elevator flaps at the tail wings.

S-75M Volhov (SA-2E) "WarPact version" SAM System
V-755 20D (Guideline mod.3) missile

Red (Bakelite) circular radio proximity fuse panels, clean tail wings, without any elevator flaps.

V-759 5Ja23 (Guideline mod.5) missile
Grey circular radio proximity fuse panels, clean tail wings, without any elevator flaps.

Got an F-14 in Prairie Fire too :-)

Missiles are nicely visible on P-14 screen, and in the last phase of flight also in the spectrum display of 5N62V :-)
Also tried to get another F-14, but it turns away and I had not sufficient SNR to launch. If I knew there are two of them flying in a formation I would quickly reacquire the second one to get it with already flying missiles. But I did not know.... It is my next quest to get both of them down :-)

In this scenario I have probably seen the TWS with 5N62V. When the formation of two F-14's turned away I saw two targets - two dots on the target detection screen. But I am not sure what was it - if it was the second F-14 or E-2 which had the same azimuth but much farther.
On the speed gate screen it looked like a fuzzy rectangle which moved away (so its velocity changed too much) and similar effect could be seen on the spectrum display - rectangular spectrum with low amplitude which moved away. I was in a FM mode, could it be for example a chaff cloud released by the turning F-14 to avoid incoming missiles?

In any case, the 5N62V had seen two targets in its beam while tracking was in progress.
