Been following this for awhile but figured with the
upcoming VRS Tacpack I would take the bull(bug) by
the horns and get it! I have spent alot of money on
FSX so why not just continue to support it.

Now Im just scared I got over my head with this sim
though, looking desperately for how to get the manual
on a side screen or e-reader or whatever lol.

Now im gonna start installing it.....(oooh)

It's not really that complicated - at least if you came from Jane's F-18 wink

Prepare yourself for the sim-ride of your life!

I've been flying it for a week and its incredible!
I printed my manual at work, we're lucky enough to have this big Xerox laser color monster that we can use for personal stuff as long as we provide the paper.
Got it printed and spiral-binded at Staples, nice colored THICK book I can read everywhere!!!

I just got my new video card today, Asus EAH6850... the bug is a completly different beast! I'm getting 30+ fps with ultra high FSX setting, smooth as silk, it's AWESOME !!!!

So true - I installed and jumped in and everything worked like JF18 (although I can't get the FLIR reticule to move for some reason) - quick X52 profile setup - exact replica of my jane's setup, just really easy. Great fun - looking forward to tacpak.

I would suggest that any noob should have a look at this janes tutorial for the radar - a really good explanation of operating the system and generally any Jane's walkthroughs/tutorials (just google) will help people understand this bird.
