Hi Patrick, text logs are still working for me. I'm wondering if your startup.cfg got overwritten.

The correct entry should be:

Code:
mission_text_log = 1

Oh boy am I an idiot. It's there. I must have got the string wrong and gone off on a wild goose chase.

Okay, disregard that last bit of stupidity, download 7.0, set mission_text_log = in startup.cfg, and you will be able to use automated mission results.

FYI - 7.1 is coming soon. In that version I took all sorts of hard coded constants and pulled them into the RoFCampaign config file. You will be able to tailor your campaign to your hearts content. It does, however, come with a "use at your own risk" warning, as it exposes quite a bit of internal logic to the user.

(I don't use that one too often...)

PS: download just worked for me, so give it some patience, may be a membership issue...

v7.0 is a no go for me. Firefox 3.6, java enabled, cookies for the site, logged in ....still the error message.

I hope there is a fix found.

OK Patrick, just had a splendid mission, though it did not unfold as I assume it was supposed to. Here goes...

I chose Jasta 16b date 1.9.1916 to restart my 'Baron von Heimlich' character because Albatros DII's are introduced at that time. I enter the sim and I am sitting in an EIII while my assigned wingmates each have a DII. See below, I own the AlbDII, and it IS checked in the "planed owned" file (double checked). I feel a lot like Bruno Stachel in an inferior crate as we take off, but I figured I'll follow this where ever it'll take me...

Knowing I couldn't keep up I try to head the Alb's off by cutting the corner to the frontline. They engage a flight of high flying Breguets, I keep going and encounter two low N11's, one I manage to hit in the petrol tank, the other's engine is damaged (perhaps by me?) and he is forced to land. A great dogfight and very realistic outcome. Hat's off to RoF!!!

However, the after action report cannot be read from within the generator while within the RoF GUI I am credited with 2 downed aircraft. The generator error message reads something like (damn I wish I took a screenshot...) "No file specified".

I DID have the Startup.cfg edited beforehand as directed: mission_text_log = 1 There are SEVERAL 1-2kb missionReports.txt in the RoF/data folder (can they be deleted, or are they deleted automatically???). There are no instructions in the version 7 Readme.

The MissionParserLog reads as follows, and I can provide more if required:
