I ordered this from TigerDirect and the set was shipped with the following BIOS:
Stick: 11
Throttle 19

After reading the "bricking" issue with this HOTAS, I scoured my house for an old powered USB hub I put away a few years ago (I upgraded to a Gigabyte Mobo-they LOVE USB ports).

Best Stick and Throttle I have ever laid my hands on.

I plug it into the two USB ports on my Merc Stealth Keyboard at a Stand Alone Chair since I do not use a desk. The HOTAS is mounted on Pads off the arm rests on the chair.

Serno 07004. Got it with Cougar MFDs which really do add to the immersion-almost dont need a keyboard anymore.
