Hello aggressorblue,

Thanks. If you ordered the physical media how much did you pay in total to get it from Hong Kong/Australia to USA? It most likely cost more than US$40.

No apology needed,. It's a good question, related to the topic of the thread. thumbsup

Personally I might go with physical media though, since it is a HUUUUUUUUGE DL, which means reinstalling would be a PITA.

As heywooood stated, check out FS Water Configurator.

I tried it. It's doesn't make any physical changes to the water, just visual. For example, set on roughest seas, aircraft carriers for example still seem to stay level.

my mistake - I thought you were referring to water appearance in FSX -

To my knowledge there is no way to get actual undulation or wave action wrt water rendering in FSX - only the appearance can be altered.

One of the things I hope the new MSFlight will address is the way water is rendered

To date - only Rise of Flight and Il2 original render land with priority (under everything) and water on top - all of the others incl. all FS sims and LoMac render water with priority and then float land masses on top (this is why high water settings reduce frame rates even when you dont fly anywhere near water) which looks sadly obvious and unnatural.

..and none of them recreate the rolling action of high seas very well if at all - water does not seem to be truly 'dynamic' yet as part of the environment - probably because of the expense to computer resources.

someday soon though...

unfortunately no. I found a slightly more important bit of software, FSForce, that I purchased instead. Frankly it's made me like my G940 again. WinkNGrin*

The next round of paid add-ons though will probably be GEX/REX though!
