Hi all,

I have some new TM MFD's that I'm starting to set up for Jane's F18. I've had an Ultimarc A-Pac board for a while now but haven't started to build any panels with it yet. But I did try out SVmapper with the A-Pac and it works very nice. So I thought I will use SVmapper to map button assignments to both MFD's and the A-Pac (which shows up as two controllers). I'm guessing maximum controllers SVmapper can see is 4. So with 2 MFD's and 2 A-Pac's I'm in great shape. As soon as I plug in my X52 and rudder pedals, the stick and rudder move the device numbers of the A-Pac down the list so that SVmapper no longer sees them. JoytoKey will see all 6 of my controllers and almost solves the problem, but not quite. I have a toggle switch wired to the A-Pac that will represent the landing gear lever someday when the pit it built. SVmapper can send both a "Mapped Key on Press" and "Mapped Key on Release". So I send the letter G to the sim on both switch on and switch off. JoytoKey doesn't seem to offer that enhancement. Any ideas on how I can solve this problem?

Thanks,
Wizard43

Use Xpadder, it will allow you to do that plus there is no limit on the number of controllers. yep

Does xpadder have a relatively simple interface like svmapper or joytokey? I was hoping to avoid any heavy scripting.

Thanks,

I purchased Xpadder but still use SVMapper.Xpadder has a learning curve that I have not yet had time to study while SVMapper is pretty simple to learn and use, and of course it is free. I only have two interface boards to interface so this is really all I need at this time. Bofman is a wizard with Xpadder and has helped me in the past with it. He is a good resource for information on that program.

"learning curve". Two words I didn't want to hear. I'm sure I can figure it out but free time is always in short supply. I do love the simplicity of svmapper. If it could just see more controllers I'd be set. Does anyone have experience with Autohotkey? I wondered if maybe that would work for me, but I was put off by the idea of writing scripts for it. If xpadder is equaly difficult to setup, than maybe I would try autohotkey. But if xpadder makes the task easier, I would gladly spend the $10 on it.

So I just wanted to update the thread to say I bought Xpadder. The learning curve wasn't so bad after all. I was a bit confused initially until I started to understand the difference between profiles and layouts. Anyway Bofman, you were right. Xpadder is exactly what I need to make all my devices work together. Thanks everyone for the help.
