Hi Guys. I've been tripping through some of my old HD's which were lying under my bed, and I have found most of my recent projects. HR Projects, Hampden, P39, Claude, Typhoon, and Mossie. My B29, and Catalina seem to be lost, as are all my WOB archives. Good job I posted the site when I did or all that lot would have been lost. I have some very old CD's, which should have stuff on them, but for some reason they will not run, despite being clean, and no scratches. Is there any cleaver software to read these damaged CD's? I've recovered quite a few family pictures, from these drives too, but again my backup CD's are damaged.

BadCopy is really good.
CheckCD
Image Recall 3
CD Recovery ToolBox (and I think there is free version of that now!)
Also, as a cheap trick...if you have Nero....and use BackItUp....its brilliant ripping complete from damaged discs. then create your back up, and dump back out again.

Hi John That is some good news at least! I’ve also had problems reading burned CD’s, what software did you use to burn them? In my case I used Easy CD Creator and DirectCD and when I didn’t have that program installed on my new PC the CD’s were unreadable. So I installed a reader program called Roxio UDF Reader which solved the problem. I’m you’ll be able to read the CD’s somehow! Good luck! Cheers

Hi Col, About your CD's .. its some facts to know They can be not readable cause a physical defect or by a bad burning. Sometime it can be also cause the CD drive .. able to read some CD's and not others. First be sure your CD's are clean of dirt and don't have scratches. If you have scratches on the label side (in fact the most important side of the CD) it's not possible to repair .. so you can add it at your freesbees collection If it's the other side .. it's possible to repair if it's little scratches. If it's bad burning .. or datas out by the wear of time ... you can try to read the CD with some softwares I like use ISO Buster.. give some good results. OFF

Hi FlyRight. I can just hear the sound of torn canvas, snapping wood, and bent metal [OK there's not much :D], as you twist my XI Bleriot monoplane, into something else. This model, is only the distance model, for the main one, which I've not built yet, but if you want to play with it, I'd better finish it off and add RS and Normals.
