I helped you guys out earlier with some Afghanistan pics. If there's anything you need to know about chinooks, pm me with questions and I'll take the time to answer a smuch as I can, know and am allowed to do.

Hi Jan,

Glad to hear you've finished your (6th) tour. If you have any more photos I'd be grateful if you could send them over. The last batch were fantastic. Pictures of installations/buildings would be great.

I could use some detailed diagrams of the Chinook pilot/co-pilot seats. It'd also be good to get a start-up checklist so we can start to think about which cockpit panels will need to be fully supported. Photos of the doors/seats would be massively helpful also.

We have the manuals but as mentioned we lack diagrams of the doors and chairs.

Cheers

If you have those manuals, than you have those diagrams, for example TM 55-1520-240-23P-1 figure 44-1 to 44-3 is all about the pilots seats. Figure 43-1 is troop commander seat, 46, 47 and 50 are troop seats.

Thanks for the heads-up. That series of manuals contains assembly drawings which aren't all that useful for modeling purposes but decent references all the same.

For anyone interested, the manuals can be downloaded on this website:
