MovieFone Naturally the one question everyone will have has been intentionally unanswered in the press release: Does the "Original Blu-ray Trilogy" mean the original theatrical cuts of the films or the 1990's re-release cuts? Given that the answer isn't presented on a headline-creating silver platter, it's sadly a safe bet that fans are not being offered the theatrical cuts, but we will update you as soon as that info is known.
That's the only important thing for me really, I have zero interest in anything other than the original three films in their original cuts, not the cocked-around-with versions or the prequel abominations.
However, as the more recent DVD releases did include the "original originals" I have hope there will be space (no pun intended) for the same in the blu-ray set. Although if there's no additional content or enhanced picture for the "oldies" there's probably not much point in me acquiring them over the DVD editions.
Cheers, Spinner
