Does anyone know of a program that opens these files? I want to edit the bmp's myself, and some of the files I need are in the vol files.

Dragon Unpacker doesn't have the plugin needed to open the vol files.

The VOL file unpacker program (rbvolx) is available only under direct permission from FLYBERT. You will need to contact him probably at the SWWISA forums at DELPHI.

Have a look at
http://www.flybert.net/
There has been abuse by some users related to the program and it is no longer generally available.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I was wanting to edit some squadron logos that aren't included in all of the add-ons I've seen. The add-ons only seem to have about half of the logos that are in the game.

The latest vol extractor and information is from Rens who created it

http://www.xs4all.nl/~rensg/rb3d/downloads/list.html

for the vol extractor though you need to email him now rebs_rens<at>xs4all.nl

the version on my site is older and only works on the 3dpatch folder .vol files as I recall ( been a while )
