It will probably take me a couple of weeks to get that stuff sorted out. I have a skill that finishes up by the weekend and then I start on the diplomacy skill.

I read somewhere today that Diplomacy can rescue you from as low as -8.5 so you should be good.

We might have a contracted war starting up soon.

I just hope we are more open this time. During the last war I kind of felt like the High Seas Fleet sitting in Wilhelmshaven, only sailing for one or two fights. Personally I would like to play the Grand Fleet this time, maintaining sea control or space control if you will. We might take more losses but it's a heck of alot more fun than sitting in dock for a week or two.

The thing is, if you dominate in an obvious fashion, they will stay docked up. You need to engage in some sort of deception or threaten something of worth that cannot be hidden (such as a POS) to obtain fights in highsec.

Hopefully I will be there for the fun by next weekend.

@Discord: We have a much better balance of experienced fighters this time around so we should have more war parties spread out over different times of day. The 100% tax and "don't go out alone" rule are to keep their kill numbers down and so we can fight on our terms. It worked well last time as we only lost one ship and we bloodied their nose so bad they didn't want to fight. Unfortunately that meant we didn't get a lot of war parties out since they stayed offline.

I imagine the rules will be the same this time but with new guys merged in we should hopefully be roaming more looking for targets or at least keeping them from undocking.


@TankHunter: Yeah, they lost two Battleships and a BC in the first engagement last time and pretty much dissapeared. What is your in game name? If you don't want to post it publicly, PM me so I can add you as a contact.
