I'll be pre-ordering ME 3 for sure. ME 1 and ME 2 were outstanding.

ME2 is just outstanding, played through 2 times now

I plan on finishing off ME (which I started and got side tracked by 2) and then use my save to run through 2 in preparation of 3 which you can import your save from 2

That's odd. That would be like reading Dune and then stopping because you got sidetracked by reading Dune Messiah!

Is a bit odd I spose LOL but here is what happened

Bought ME through steam and started playing but it was glitchy with freezes and a couple of BSOD so it was hard going and then along came the newer ME2 which I bought the DVD version and it played smooth as silk with no glitchs at all.

Hah, funny. I got ME2 in August, installed it but didn't start it...real life took over.

Picked it back up 2 days ago, and WOW, impressive! Right from the start it pulls you in. It's like an early Christmas present, and then I hear about ME3.

smile

I was so sucked into ME 2 that I actually played it twice in a row when I bought it. I've also played ME twice but there was a greater span of time between the replays.

I picked up ME2 during the Steam holiday sale. It got fantastic reviews and they said that many improvements were made since ME1, the control scheme being one of them. Should I buy ME1 and play through it first before starting ME2, or doesn't it really matter? Apparently the ME2 story is partly determined by your character and actions taken in ME1.

Thanks,
SE

Yes, I strongly recommend you play ME 1 first. The entire main storyline is continued in ME 2 and you will be lost to a signficant extent if you just play ME 2 first.

Thanks PM. I'll pick up a copy of ME1 from Steam and play it first.

Now you don't need to play it on the Jokebox 360.

I'd recommend the same. There is a recap at the beginning of ME2 for those that don't play thru ME1 or just can't remember the story, but I wouldn't want to miss the first one--there were some slow moments while playing thru, but the way the saga built up to the grand finale was really good--you won't regret playing thru part one first.

Putting me in the mood to finish ME2! It's that scifi game time of year.
Riddick, Star Trek Legacy, starting Darkstar One on 360 this time...

Why did I wait this long to play ME2! Now, if only they just mixed it with some I-WAR ship battles! Truly a Sci-Fi fan game!

It definitely is. I got a big Babylon 5 vibe from the ME games.

This is what I am hoping for in ME3. It is truly an outstanding series.

Agreed, that's what ME is missing. You have this cool big ship but you never get to really use it. LOL

I'm fairly confident that Miranda will be back. The one character I wouldn't mind NOT returning is Jack. She just always reminded me of Sinead O'Connor.

Yep... though, she was good in bed.

I thought Jack was an interesting character. She had such a tragic backstory. I really wanted to help her work through some of her issues. I did not, however, want to sleep with her. So now every time I try to talk to her, she just tells me to "f%&* off." I guess you can't help everybody.

I think she does that if you've established a relationship with Miranda. That was certainly the case with my play-through of ME 2. It makes sense though when you realize why Jack hates Miranda.
