A mate of mine has a girlfriend and her brother was at pub and met a bloke who had a friend who said the next plane in Rise of Flight was definately the de Havilland DH-9 Ya can't get more conclusive proof than that. So why do I want the DH-9? Because it can carry 4 112lb bombs or 2 230lb bombs to the target and then dogfight with the D.VII's on the way home. Wing Commander R. W. Jackson wrote, "I found that after shedding the bomb load, the 9, with a good gunner, was capable of quite a lot of fighting. It was possible to tight-turn a Fokker D.VII into a full power stall, also the 9 could be looped quite well - and tightly." Spoon

Surely it will be a Gotha or some other evil Hun multi! I dont have RoF yet, don't have a pc capable of running it, am trying to hang on until olegs BOB is released before committing to a build, but if RoF releases a Biff then it will tip me over the edge!!! Biff to me will stand for Buy it f#@ken fast !!! Craig
The problem with the World is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Didn't get the Handley, but this I'd get. Tide me over until I get a Brisfit You didn't??? The heck with usefulness, going out on bombing raids alone in the QMB is huge fun! Solving bomb solutions on the fly, wrestling the brute around, playing with the turrets...it goes on...but blowing stuff up with a string of bombs is a kick. Not to mention you can take your non-HP-owning friends up. You're seriously shortchanging yourself here. =MFC=Gunloon

Love. You can know all the math in the 'Verse, but take a boat in the air you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughtta fall down, tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Solving bomb solutions on the fly, wrestling the brute around, playing with the turrets...it goes on...but blowing stuff up with a string of bombs is a kick. A friend bought it for me, and I'm very glad he did, as I've found it absolutely invaluable in testing some important aspects of the sim. But as for fun, I can't say I agree. I find flying bombers to be quite boring, and I find bombing in it to be pretty ho-hum, too. I don't even find dropping bombs from fighters to particularly exciting, but even that's more interesting to me than dropping 'em from bombers. The only good part of dropping them from a bomber instead is that you can drop bigger ones.

ArgonV,
Thats a Gotha Reelifrikkenbiggshippen. I've flown it in ROF but the flight model is porked. It'll out-turn a camel.

The wingloading may be high but if the power-to-weight ratio is good enough, it should turn well. Just look at how an F-15 weighs many thousands of pounds but turns very well because it also has a lot of power.
