Time acceleration works when it can, i.e. when you CPU can work fast enough at 2x, 4x, or 8x speeds, this happens only when a mission isn't 'heavy' on computations.

The top hat - check 'snap' versus 'pan' docs (switch with F9 between modes), maybe that's it.

I'd love to host a link to this on my website. Would that be alright with you Pat?

Hi all,

Sure thing on the link. Apologies for the absence but real life has prevented much progress (in a good way this time). With Neoqb actively working on a campaign I was also hesitent to put a huge amountof time into something that will (hopefully) soon be eclipsed.

Thanks biggrin

Of course it would be great if the new career mode would make your campaigns obsolete but I guess it's reassuring that if it doesn't, there's still something to fall back on.

I must admit to my shame I haven't actually tried them yet myself frown

Hi Pat, Congradulations on your marriage and stuff!
I would like to see further development of this great tool for two reasons mainly:
1) The official career mode is put on delay and it is not expected anytime soon.
2) The official carrer mod requires constant online capability.

I only play RoF because of your Campaign Generator and I would like to make some suggestions anyway.

Implementation of the new planes.
(I have done it unofficially in my own game but the names of the new planes are not present at the briefings).

Realistic wounded report settings.
When you report someone as wounded to be restricted from flying for some reasonable time.
If is the player wounded the Campaign advances automatically forward and continues at the time the player is granted flight again.

"Official" implementation of the lower height Campaign option. (modification by Mallecroft).

I would also prefer the skin customisation options more user friendly, if possible.

Thanks again for this invaluable tool and all the best for your new life!

PS: Is it possible to have more than 4 planes formations, (may be 6 per flight, which was common practice from 1917 and on)
and please put a slider to the pilot-debriefing screens as my monitors vertical resolution is limited to 900 and I can't see the bottom lines-option tabs...(look at the bottom of the picture).

I have to agree with the others. I can see a need for your campaign beyond the release of the "official" campaign.
If only for the offline content.

I'm presuming that there will be more advanced logging of mission results after the campaign release which could be used to further enhance your campaign.

+1 As long as 777's campaign is online only there will always be a demand for your campaign. So add me to the growing list of those that hope you won't give up on your already great piece of work! cheers

I am picking it back up again. It's going to be a bit slower because I have an actual life now, but it is not abandoned. I tend to do these sorts of things in spurts anyway.

Come to think of it, if somebody can point me to a good escort mission it would be really appreciated.

Great news Pat! Thanks for the continued support of your campaign. I enjoy it tremendously, and now will into the future. Hopefully the new RoF mission outcome/stats will be portable into your campaign.

I imagine you have a priority list to deal with, but as mentioned, ability to have larger flights would help out a lot.
Also, time permitting and if possible, when you report a dead pilot in after-action, he simply disappears from the roster. Any chance to keep them in the pilot list as KIA?

@ elephant: where is the "lower height Campaign option. (modification by Mallecroft)." available??? If you have a link handy, please pass along, as it sounds interesting.

@ Bandy, I've already did...go back to page 46 of this topic.
About the deseased pilots matter you mentioned, I have noticed that the pilots may be written off from the chalkboard screen but in: (RoFCampaign\campaigns\YourPilot) , in the .campaign file under the name of your pilot all the pilots, alive, dead, missing are all there, so this feature is probably feasible.
Escort missions are truly missing... may be some defend this area (balloon, bridge) mission would be wellcome or some balloon busting specially specified missions would be wellcome.
Thanks Pat for confirming RoF Campaign further development...for offliners like me RoF would have been unplayable boring without Pat's RoF Campaign...

PS: One more remark to make about the promotion system...
IMO the promotions are way too quick, in a matter of a couple of months time, to advance from the lowest available to the highest.
The promotion criteria must be revisited don't you think so?
