Struggling to find a profile where everything works.

Tried a few from the Cougar stash in this forum and used the settings.ini to make sure the controls mapped but some functions aren't working and I'm too dumb to program one myself.

Anyone know the definitive profile?

Do you still need one? It doesn't sound like it, judging by your posts in the other thread.


Maybe you could tell which of the profiles comes close to what you want, but then tell the gurus around here what's missing.

I tried 3 and they all had their own settings.ini which you put into the sim so it uses the proper keystrokes for the profiles.

Trouble is they didn't work like what was described on the image viewers which I printed out.

Probably the Cougar acting like a #%&*$# again.

TRying to get Nicolaas profile to work but when I use the views,they don't work.

Using all his files and also his settings.ini.

Has the new up 2.1 patch altered a few things?

I just wanna fly dammit.

Because I use TIR, I never used the default view key's.
The profiles just runs here on UP201 without any problems. (and 4.09m and AAA409b1)
Do you mean the view keys on HAT 1 does not work or are there other keys that does not work either?
I think it is not that difficult to get those working. Have to dig deep into my memory though, it is some time ago that I have run 201.

Bloody Cougar.
Worst purchase ever made in my life.

So overcomplicated.

Now can't fly ROF.

ROF have changed their controls scheme and map files don't work properly anymore so once again,my bloody Cougar is a paper weight.
Confounded bloody useless shyte thing.

No profile works properly.
The only sim that works is ROF with the Cougar.The rest are hit and miss.

Finally got the ROF profile working.Settings were hidden away in the sim.

Just too complicated and I can't read them with my eyes.


Nicolaas one looks good but the views don't work on the Hat 1 switch at all.

There isn't a definitive il2 1946 profile for the Cougar.

And it seems the new 4.11m patch might have stuffed up the controls as well.

I wish I knew how to program.
