Not at all, but it *is* what Hawx should've been. This would be a perfect older school Clancy flight game.

re: mouse control default...was your joystick plugged in Staniol?

The HOTAS Warthog was working by default. The game mapped pitch wrong, and assigned rudder to a Warthog axis instead of the Saitek pedals, but it at least tried. You can change them on the fly in-mission which was nice

I tried A:AA yesterday on a friends computer with a MSFFB2 stick. My problem was that I couldn`t control collective/RPM smooth enough. It seemed that the throttel range in game was just the half of the whole throttle range on the stick(despite the full range in options menue). So I could not make a stable hover just a few meters above the ground (manual hover not Autohover). Crashing or climbing all the time. Any tips?

Yeh i noticed last night that it didnt seem to be using all the throttle range on the Warthog, only the top half.

Annoying how the chopper just leaps upwards immediately any time you put collective input in, no delay whatsoever to imply you are flying a heavy piece of machinary.

No playing with MFDs or sensors like LB2/BS etc.
Basically its a case of shoot anything with a red symbol over it a.s.a.p.
Press Lock target button, Press Rocket Release button, Repeat.

Countermeasures are deployed for you (not sure why even, as there only seems to be unguided rockets being launched at me only so far)

Dont need to return to base..the game just finishes wherever you complete the objectives.
Run out of ammo? No problem, new ammo respawns after a few seconds (rockets) or minutes (hellfires)

Dont get me wrong, i enjoy playing this game...it is fun!
But arcade game it is, nothing is being simulated.

Many missions do involved returning to base to land to end the mission, but not all.
There are guided missiles in the game, not just RPG's. You'll need the countermeasures.
On Veteran difficulty, you have a realistic loadout and must return to base to rearm. Not really how the game is designed to be played though IMO, it's not that level of sim.

do the countermeasures re-spawn ?

since you have no control over deploying them, would be mighty peeved to have none left cause the AI has dumped them all against RPGs and around the next corner is a SAM

I think they respawn if you die (realistic, don't know about veteran). Rockets/missiles/canon rounds don't respawn any faster if you die. I could be wrong, but I think I noticed that during co-op the other night.
The co-op missions I saw were a lot of fun and nice variety too.

I got the PC and 360 version... almost finished the campaigns, 2 missions on both systems seem impossible... Finally found a online game yesterday and was great fun... a great game and different then most other console games... but there are issues, some major... and not a sim, but a very good game... highly recommended for a good, fun time.

Screens and video in the screenshot forum, and working on review now.

Does anyone else find "Turkey Shootout" to be impossible?
