Smith had a great game and Carolina got all the breaks. Now it is on to Chicago for the Carolina Panthers. I think the Bears pretty well whupped us the last time we visited the windy city. Wish us luck pal. \:\)
JR2, In true Southern fashion you are humble and kind in victory. The truth is the Giants never showed up for the game. There were 80,000 screamin fans in the stands and at least 1 sitting in his family room There's always next year!

Folks,

SNAFU:

Neither of us are any richer monetarily for having watched the game. The bragging rights last only until the next game or the next season. Whatever the facts of the game actually were you are a grand sport and a winner in my book. And you always will be. \:\)

G'day mates,
thought I'd drop in to say hello, nice to see the old and new faces from auld lang syne. The next round is on me - (JRT can I borrow a few shillings until pay day?)

It'll take some doing to catch up on the reading.

Many happy returns OldDux, Happy Adversary (sp?) Wildman

The new (to me)BobII is truly amazing, just trying to work out a wrinkle or two, then....

Folks,

C51:

What a treat it is to have old friends come home again. It has been way too long pal.

I am sure that someone on the forum can help with those wrinkles.

Once was the happy time when C51 posted almost every night. Many have asked about your health and whereabouts. Especially those to whom you owe a pound or two. Those like me who owe you money have not inquired as often. ;\)

Gentlemen,

Welcome back C51 and thanks for birthday greetings from you and JRT. \:\)

Re BobII; I'm having some trouble with the token box. Clicking on this gives you the choices of FRAG, RTB etc., but this has now been replaced by the mission folder which is far less useful.
Maybe I have inadvertantly changed the settings somewhere. If so, how do I change back? Maybe SNAFU or JG could help?

The Fokker saga is drawing to a long overdue close with just a bit of tidying up here and there, then it will be a long wait for some long grass before the trial flight.

I really want to get going on another project again but a pic of the finished job will be posted soon.

All,

JR2, you always have an interesting viewpoint on things. Thanks my friend!

C51, I'll be damned. It is a fine treat to see you back here once again. I hope you can stay a while or at least get back more often. We miss your terrific humor, not to mention you owe a few of us a pint or two. ;\)

Old Dux, I'm afraid I dont know any way to help with your problem. I still have the menu that allows one to choose Frag, RTB etc. I cant imagine what's wrong. Sorry.

Put your question out. I'm sure the answer will be posted swiftly.

Folks,

Dux:

No matter how we spell it, I can just see that little 'Fokker' flying majestically over the green hills of Derbyshire. ;\)

I cannot wait to see what you managed to hit whilst spraying with that little Badger of yours. I don't recall what model number mine is but it did an admirable job. Because of our summer humidity I had problems with moisture in the supply line for a time until I installed a little trap for that purpose, that worked pretty well.

I have always wanted to somehow build a flying replica of a Zeppelin. I have built a scale model of the Hindenburg some years ago but that isn't the same. Helium would have to be involved and tiny motors with radio controlled servos to turn the steering gear. it isn't likely to happen.

SNAFU:

The old guard is back together again if for only a short time. I find it nostalgic and satisfying as I look back upon over four years of posting and reading on your amazing thread.

It marches on toward the lofty 5000 post mark.

Howdy SNAFU, fearless leader, great to see you - so to speak.

JRT, when you say 'Fokker' with a North Carolinian accent, what does it come out like?

Old Dux, sounds very exciting. Good luck looking for the long grass, but I've heard that too much of that stuff really impairs one's flying ability - unless you aren't using an aeroplane of course.

Folks,

C51: \:\)

Your dry humor has been missed and your humor suitably drenched missed even more.

Fokker pretty much comes out Fokka no matter what accent I use. ;\)

I understand that the grass that grows upon those lovely hills of Derbyshire isn't the same as that oddly leaved variety growing in the backyards and private greenhouses of Canada. This could account for the veritable stampede of immigrants from the old country to the new in years past.

This certainly reminds me of that summer years back when no one was posting and we three, Dux, C51 and myself kept the old thread rolling for 2 full weeks.

Chaps,

Put the problem right in the end by re-installing BoBII. Still don't know what caused it though.

JRT,

I positively yearn for the balmy comfort of those Southern States when the winters drag on over here. Any log cabins going cheap over there? That would suit me fine...spending my retirement years in the forest clad foothills of some mountain range or other.
