Thanks for the tip on the Lone Star Flight Museum binky. I have been going to Chino monthly for the past year and I still am finding new things when I am there. Wheels

I've been lucky enough to see "Glacier Girl" in flight, but never that up-close - thanks Wheels! I have had the exact opposite experience.

Nice, I'm going to have to get stateside at least once and visit these collections. Is that a Firefly next to the FW190?

A couple of pics from inside the B-17 "Picadilly Lilly II" at Planes of Fame. Looking out the plexiglass behind and below the top gunners plexiglass bubble. It wasn't the camera, the plexiglass is that dirty. Looking towards the back of the plane from the radio room. The radio operator's desk is behind me and to the right. (The desk is not in the picture. ) Wheels

Very nice :L You can't imagine standing in there under fire. Damn brave kids.
Probably the 1000th time you have been asked this....what camera is it? Actually you are the first. It is a fairly inexpensive Nikon COOLPIX L22. It's not very good for aerial shots or long distance shots but for up close and personal I think it does fairly well. The videos of the WW1 replica aircraft walk arounds I posted were taken with it too. Wheels Edit: I am going to have to get out the manual because the brochure mentions a zoom feature that may improve my long range shots. I've had the camera for 8 months and I didn't know about it until I read the brocuhure.

I found out how to adjust the zoom so I am going to play around with it and see how well it works. The zoom feature even works with the video. The last camera I had the zoom did not work with the video feature. There is a mini airshow on the 11th at Hemet-Ryan airfield that I was going to pass on but I think I am going to use it to test out the camera now. I like A-10's so that is another reason to go to the show. Schedule - 08:00 Gates Open for General Public
- 09:30 Opening Ceremony
- 09:50 T-34 Formation Flight
- 10:10 L-39 Flyby
- 10:30 Tim Decker and Melissa Aerobatics Preview
- 10:50 Remote Control Airplane Club
- 11:20 Doug Jardine Aerobatic Performance
- 11:35 L-29 Flybys
- 11:50 C-17 Flyby
- 12:00 Golden Stars Skydiving
- 12:15 Tim Decker Aerobatics
- 12:30 T-34 Formation Flight with Dragon Flight
- 1:00 Melissa Aerobatics
- 1:20 Doug Jardine
- 1:35 United States Air Force A-10 Demo and Heritage Flight
