I'd also pose that the "DCS A-10" thread is not the place for a discussion of hardware serial numbers. Dammit, Skater. Wish granted Teej! LOL -Skater

#1657 No Problems so far, but I've found the TARGET script to be much better for programming than the clunking GUI interface. My System Homebuilt Core i7 965ee, ASUS Rampage IIIx w/ 12gb in triple channel config, Win7/XPSP3 Dual Boot, BFG 275GTXOC x 2 in SLI, HOTAS Cougar (#4097), HOTAS Warthog (#1657), Cougar MFDs (Velcroed to 17"monitor running MFD Extractor), CH ProPedals, Norstromo n50 keypad, Logitech G15 Keyboard, 24" Wide Screen Main @ 1920x1200 Primary, 19" 128x1024 Secondary, 17" 800x600 Tertiary running MFDs Not much left in my wallet.........

I got my Warthog at 9am this morning, about 15 hours ago. Obviously had to work first, then come home, clean the room, tidy the table... give it a few spins in DCS A10, and then post in SimHQ. Stick is #00134 (firmware 9) Throttle is #00287 (firmware 17) Just waiting for my MFDs now...

Per sticker on throttle: #07015 via Software, throttle: 15 I ordered this from TigerDirect and the set was shipped with the following BIOS: Stick: 11 Throttle 19 After reading the "bricking" issue with this HOTAS, I scoured my house for an old powered USB hub I put away a few years ago (I upgraded to a Gigabyte Mobo-they LOVE USB ports).

Just purchased my Warthog from Amazon, will update with the S/N when it arrives next Thursday! BTW, did any of you have this sick, sinking feeling in your stomach after your purchase? Like someone's going to be real upset when they figure out how much you just spent?
EDIT: Yay! Mine came today!

Hopefully have one at the weekend but can I ask why post your serial number? So in case somebody steals it then when they post your old one you know who it is. It's also a cool-factor kinda thing. Especially when you have more than one! Back in the old days, Frugals/Cougar World had a Cougar Serial Number thread like this one. Carrying on tradition, so to speak... WC

Got it today, SN#12267. Set up the Warthog, TIR5, CH Pedals and I'm taking off and landing the A-10 with hardly any issues. Maybe an hour adjusting/calibrating.

I don't know why this thread went dead, but after many years of faithful service, my throttle turned into a brick after simply unplugging it from a powered USB hub to play a game that didn't like seeing more than one controller, then plugging it back into the same hub. Upon further research, it seems many throttles turn into a brick fairly quickly due to some design flaw that doesn't like power fluctuations, but my throttle went through countless cycles over the years without a problem. So now I bought a new stick/throttle set since it was more cost effective than just buying the throttle. I am also going to get the board to fix the "brick", but the part isn't even in stock right now and I was told to ask about ordering it in May.
Long story short, new member number: 62016 for $390 (had to wait for it to come from Germany to get that price). Old one was: 07236 for $350
