More like Battlefield, should be fun. Destructible environments are always game changers. Impressive for an XBLA title too.

+1 Raw Kryptonite ... looking good for a console port. I just hope you can increase the FOV in Breach. It looks like it's set to 55 degrees ... similar to Medal of Honor single player campaign which I had to put down because my eyes (eye muscles ... whatever) started to hurt because of the narrow field of view.

Wow that looks fun. I've seen this "Breech" name thrown around for awhile but have not looked into it. I thought it was another scifi or funky shooter but this looks more military than I thought and that destruction looks to add some interesting gameplay applications. The maps must really look a mess after a match is over lol.

"Breach" used to be a tactical top-down or isometric game for turn-based squad combat, that you could merge with or hook on to the Star Trek-like game "Rules of Engagement". Nice to see all the destructible objects.

If anyone gets it on PC via Steam (3 hours) please let us know what you think... hows the hit detection, hows the server support, hows the gameplay... on Xbox 360... it's a cool game with big maps, but looks like a PSP title graphic wise... seems like no lower body hit detection, and I'm still trying to figure out if all friends and foes are always marked on the map...because i can't sneak up on anyone or flank the enemy... plus on the 360 almost every game, when the host leaves (it forces someone to auto host so you don't know) it looks for a new host but instead starts a new game...losing all your kills/stats. so let us know.

Works fine for me. A few don't connect but I've been in quite a few games now and quite like it on PC.

OH! Silly me... I should of known that if you join a FULL server you'll get in, lol... Very nice maps... looks better on PC compared to the 360 due to bigger resolutions and better graphic options. Oh, I see the PC version has the same problem as the 360 version... host always leaving in game.

What's the bottom line on this then Mace? If you had to compare it to another FPS,which one?
I'm just worried that £7.99 = not much gameplay.

I'm just worried that £7.99 = not much gameplay. It's definately more of a BF game than A COD one but obviously not as polished. It is a lot slower and you can actually snipe in the game because as Magnum said the maps are big although when shooting long distances the round seems to take a while to reach the target but no biggy. For me it's worth £8.

I crumbled and picked this up.
Its not bad but the destructable scenery is a lot less significant than you think - compared to BC2 where a tank can reduce your house to bits...
The other trouble is that the active cover thing is sod to work (press X to get in/out of it).
Plus there are the usual CS rambo types running round slotting people at spawn points with pistols.
However if it was organised teams on comms, with mouse-holing etc and more MOUT-style maps it could be very cool.
I think that Fallujah tac FPS that was canned and which this is essentially the tech demo for could have been very interesting indeed - bringing in this dynamic destructible cover. (Especially if they had brought in some other MOUT equipment like ladders etc).
Once the ADD crowd disappear thou it might get better

player base will disappear... and IMO... thou a good cheap game... unless you can't afford the higher end games like BFBC2, CoD:BO, or MoH... then why? Why play a lower standard, B rated MP game... not that it's not good, just... it's the same as all the others only cheaper and less support.

Ya, it's pretty sad. PC Gamer gave it a 81. They said lack of maps and aging graphics was it's downside ... http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/02/08/breach-review/If someone could just come in, polish it up, add ten more maps and better textures, it would be really good. I’ll probably still take it out for a few more runs tho
