No real campaign so to speak. There are many diverse mission sets, which you can choose who you want to fly for, and they are all replayable from each perspective.

But give it a try just the same, it's free after all and you don't need the original SDOE CD!

Hello! That's the only stand alone WW2, and even then it's not completely stand alone. The included WWI version is long out of date. A single WW2 installer has not been made yet for SDOE.

I would install first the FS-WWI All-In-One to see if you like it, as it's easier to get up and going.

installed....and all seems to work ok, except occasional freezes
and ctd's. I love the auto-zoom! Wish we had it in EAW.

I have to do some more tweaking with some things....throttle comes
to mind.....Have an X52 stick.....game uses a slider on my throttle instead.
But I read another post about assigning axis...or changing the .app
or something......also need to be able to hear the engine rpm change
with my throttle....read something about that too.

Anyway, installer worked fine. I also ran the patch installer....installed
fine....will read what to do with it later....

Can't see squat from a WWI pit, so padlock is great!
So far, this is excellent!

Hello, glad you are having fun!

Are you running in WinXP? If so, setting Win98/WinME compatability mode on the game launching shortcut will solve a lot of CTD issues.

Also, there should be a SDOE Control Editor that got placed in the start menu that can help you assign the proper axis

In the game, under Options and then Sounds you can choose to link the engine sound with the RPM of the engine or not. Not linking it will have your engine sound change based on the position of the throttle.

I'm also glad to hear the installers worked great! It's wonderful to finally have something available that's easy for the end user to get up and going.

I should mention there is a beta 1.6.0.7 game patch now, but it's not for FS-WWI. I'm hoping to have a FS-WWI version soon, as it fixes many things with the OpenGL32 renderer and adds widescreen support making FS-WWI look really good!

I'm really looking forward to it...
