Neat. Thanks for the Heads Up. 3 of these in surround mode would require a special "pit". But, that's what pits are all about. It would also require you mortgage your house or sell your car (the nice one). Here is a video review of the monitor: Video Review of 43" Curved Monitor The downside seems to be lack of resolution (vs a standard 3 monitor Eyefinity). But, the guys and gals who afford 4 GTX480 in SLI may think nothing of adding 3 of these and running them 3D -- can't imagine things will ever get much better than that Now, ATI/AMD needs to change the Eyefinity driver to allow 6 monitors to wrap around like that (assuming it doesn't) -- that, 6 monitor "surround", I might do Aw, heck, why not a full 360 degrees while I'm dreaming

Good points all around Allen, as per usual - On the topic of six monitors, Ati's way ahead of you: http://www.overclockersclub.com/news/25798/Also, since most double wide cards support 3 monitors, I think a crossfire setup (say two 5770 to 5830 cards) would be able to power six monitors. Usually we see this displayed as 3 stacked on 3, but from reading general reviews of the Eyefinity setup, it seems flexable enough to arrange them in a horizon. Of note though, if you want to keep one monitor at "dead north" you'll only use 5, simply flanking the original 3. Perhaps place one above the front panel for guages. I didn't notice till I after I posted, the major flaw of the screen: It's vertical resolution of only 900. MAYBE at $1000 I'd forgive this flaw, but a $6k screen that's unacceptable. At that level of spending though, now that I think of it, 3 projectors arranged in eyefinity would be the best alternative. given that just one of the CRVD's cost $6k, you could get a trio of decent projectors, and most likely the hardware to mount them, at around the same price. Damn, now I kinda want 3 projectors... - Wouldn't 360 monitors would have your back monitors showing the scenic view of the rear cockpit of most planes

Each of those curved displays comprise four DLP rear-projection screens merged and overlapped. That explains some of the price, but not all of it. It would be easy to put together a system using projectors and a 6-output Eyefinity GPU that would give you total horizontal visual coverage for gaming for less money than multiple curved displays. Given the $6000-per-monitor price, it might even be cheaper to pay the money for new studs and walls in a room in your house and build a sim-cave, and still come in under what the other budget would be.
All of that it still over-the-top, however. Simply using a 3-output EyeFinity GPU and three projectors, one can construct a mind-blowing gamin experience for a few thousand dollars. Or one can game on three $200 monitors and still have a blast. It's all way better than a single screen, even a large one, and ATI has made it simple.

Yeah, I'd go for 6 beamers (Optoma HD20?) and a 180+ curved screen for that price.

And for all that money, it looks like they were getting 3fps.

dunno about you guys, but i can see the lines where the DLPs overlap, kinda annoying, I'd just build a huge concave screen and have 3-6 projectors

dunno about you guys, but i can see the lines where the DLPs overlap, kinda annoying The screens are designed so that the lines are greatly minimized when one is viewing from the "sweet spot". When one steps out of this sweet spot the lines become more prominent, but they are always there. I witnessed this myself at E3 2009.
