Ok, did that, tried to open the JAR file with Java, got a brief screen that was so fast I have no idea what it said and nothing else happened. Tried to start ROF and got "cannot access startup file for writing" pressed OK and then got "ROF has encountered a problem and has to close" HELP.

On the java issue, you're probably selecting the wrong .exe in the java folder. You need to use javaw.exe

The RoF issue is unrelated, not sure what's happened there.

Hi again, I've got a javaw and a javaws file but no javaw.exe, I've tried both the other files but no result except the javaws file said unable to launch application. No idea what I'm doing but will keep trying. Thanks for the help.

You've got "hide extensions" switched on in folder options.
It'd be javaw you need to open the Campaign.jar with

Now the thing is that I'm not good with computers. Unchecked hide extensions but still couldn't find anything that would open the file. Got the file open with WINZIP in the end and found some files, now what do I do with them.

you don't want to open it, you need to launch it. javaw.exe is the one to do it.

How do I do that? I've right clicked on the JAR file and gone to properties, open with, pointed it to JAVAW.EXE then left clicked on the file and nothing happens. Tried clicking on the JAVAW.EXE file on it's own and nothing happens, what am I doing wrong??????

Isn't this your actual problem? Can you start RoF by its own? You may have not enough permissions, or your ROFCampaign folder is not where expected.

Ok, got ROF back by pressing recovery but still cannot open the JAR (sound like a hungry bear), if I have managed to open the campaign folder somewhere else any hints as to where???
