Hi, I have worked on assorted eech stuff and decided that I´d like to have some feedback on my changes. Biggest thing is a revamped controller GUI that should make "eechmap" redundant. The new exe is called W15F, although this it not an 'official' eechdev release, but rather an informal 'retro wants some comments' executable :p Also included are some multiplayer fixes Moje and Jabberwock did, which will surely find their way into the next official eechdev release. The readme is in HTML so sadly I can´t just paste it in this post, however you can read it here The exe may be found here ,it´s about 1.7MB. Pic of the new UI:

Great, downloaded and I'll start testing ASA my kids get's off my back AKA tonight.... Edit: I took a short test-flight anyway. Control-screen works OK. Deadband is gone on my throttle. I'll try some MP tonight.

the removal of deadzones is very welcome, the disappearance of objects with high FOV is fixed for me, even if zbuffering issues remain with parking textures. joystick axes programmation has bit a bit tricky, since my throttle is recognized as a slider, but i did get it to work with not too much headache. ground is now colored in FLIR screen, looks strange. CTD when using zoomed FLIR and high FOV near city. thanks for this retro now if someone can fix the LOD so objects are not that detailed at distance, fps near cities would be more playable.....

Haven't played EECH for a time, I didn't reinstall following a reformat, and then again following another reformat (grr!) but have been thinking about getting it back in, and this is the kick up the ar$e I need.
Do you have a profile for your X36, Retro? I don't know if my profile has survived the reformatting (may have forgotten to back it up, duh!) and would like to try yours.

Thank you for the comments so far I do have a profile for my x36 but it´s not very well thought out.. also, as I´m using TrackIR I´ve reused the POV hat to control avionics, so if you don´t have tir yourself it will be almost unusable for you. I don´t know what could cause the reported CTD, as for z-buffering stuff and low FPS around cities.. this is all scary 3d graphics stuff which I´m trying to stay well clear of

Ahh yes seems my LOD changes rendered the 'cbar' command line variable ineffective.. leading to slooow frames around built-up areas

Is there anyway of giving the helos "weight"??...only way I know of to describe what I mean is to fly helos in operation flash point. They feel "heavy".Could the flight models be tweaked to do this as well?
Edit:Just tried it out...nice features.Anyway to adjust the dead zone on the joysticks?Really like the proper detail on the helos in external view in wide fov mode.and the gears on the hinds is sweet(need a cockpit now).radar doesn't work on the hind though...or was it always that way on the hind???

UI works fine here Retro, fantastic work and thank you very much!
If I might make a suggestion, it would be cool if you could right-click to page backwards through the selections that would make it even more user friendly (i.e. no need to 'go around' if you miss your axis).
This is a great enhancement, thank you!

Yes that would be nice but I couldn´t find any right-mousebutton event code.. and I don´t think there´s any UI button that works with right-mouse button clicks..
