Have in his hands a HOTAS Warthog is like touching the body of a beautiful woman,
with its sinuous curves and prosperous, a comely mermaid who kidnaps my mind.
I want to be seduced by that body...... I want to do my.

Why you want a Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG?

Ask not what HOTAS WARTHOG can do for me,
if I win, ask if I am the best WARTHOG driver to be!

As a dedicated supporter of Eagle Dynamics, I have owned every flight simulation product released by them, from Flanker 1.5 to DCS:Black Shark, and anxiously awaiting the final release of DCS:A10C. Currently, I am using a Logitech Wingman 3D Pro, and that is no way to fly a masterpiece like the DCS:A10C.

I WANT, I NEED, and my Wife of six years and mother of my two kids will leave me if go buy a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. So, my fellow simmers, please save this guy from alimony and child support payments by awarding me this piece of art, the King of Flight sim gear, the glorious HOTAS Warthog.

My PC Specs:
Traitorous transistorized toad....Blithering blatherskite....Hopeless heap of tainted tin

I am ready

As PC flight simulation has evolved from its humble beginnings, with the simplest of joysticks, so have I enjoyed to fly the virtual skies

As time has passed, countless hours at the flight controls, poor imitations of the real thing, my skills have evolved

My thirst and desire to be even further immersed in the virtual world of flight has never ceased and continues to grow

Now, the time has come

Thrustmaster have brought forward the HOTAS system that changes the rules of flight simulation controls

It could truly take me further into the world of virtual flight than my dreams ever imagined

When I touch the controls, I will be in the cockpit

The controls on the screen will be the ones in my hands

The Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog takes flight simulation to the next level

I am ready to take the next step, to go to the next level

To truly take to the skies

Yes

I am ready

Why do I want HOTAS Warthog for free is that because I ordered HOTAS Cougar via international shipping shop 1 years ago, however it is never delivered to my house.
What is worse, the shop stopped responding me, despite of my request of refunding, so I simply lost my 260 dollar for nothing.(including shipping cost)

As I'm living in far east, mainly due to the shipping cost, price of flight simming devices are as 1.5 multiplied as default pricing which is really pain in the neck for flight simmers living here.
This might be some kind of request, but please make your factory over Asia not only in America.

Why do I want a Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG?

Well, I suppose it’s just an envy issue.
Or maybe it’s something more… conspiratory. :evil-grin:

I see this astonishing piece of art ant technique in each and every banner in all simulation related website, and I think I should call police for illegal subliminal advertisement , as I arrive home and see split throttles in the controls of my oven and kitchen, and full fledget stick in every candle and remote control of my T.V.

Oh, wait… I’m mad….
My only cure is winning the prize, please?

Hummm. Hogs flying and warthog HOTAS.... if I win the prize, I would be the third pig in a row?

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
But the light was still on in the cupboard under the stairs.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While Dad watched his wingman getting ahead.
With HOTAS, Track IR and Dell widescreen,
He scanned the sky for the enemy unseen.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
But no one arose to see what was the matter.
Dad was talking to the JTAC while everyone slept,
Arming his mavericks, a task at which he was becoming adept.

Outside the moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
But Dad didn't care he had his Litening pod
It's advanced optics gave him the view of a God.

Meanwhile some bloke with reindeer landed on the roof,
Less engaged people might have heard the scuff of a hoof.
But Dad was immersed turning towards his IP,
Checking his switches he called 'Weapons free!'

The maverick hit home and the tank was destroyed!
Dad pulled back hard and rose up into the void.
But just as he breathed a sigh of relief,
He noticed the movement outside, was that a thief?

He hit pause and took off the TrackIR,
And gingerly opened the cupboard door slightly ajar.
And to his surprise a man he did spy,
Twas Father Christmas! No word of a lie!

Now poor old St Nick he got a shock,
When he spun around at the sound of the lock.
"Oi!" said Dad whilst Santa stood agog,
"Don't need you this year I've already got my WARTHOG!"

I need to win a Thrustmaster Warthog please so I can cancel Christmas.
smile

"Why do I want a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog?"

Because this sim
deserves a HOTAS
of its own!

In 25 years of flight simming
Many flightsticks have graced my hands
But since the turn of the century
Only the Cougar’s been in my pit’s plans

It’s been 10 years with my Cougar
And this HOTAS’s served me well
But only after expensive mods
Was its response clear as a bell

Building profiles in Foxy
Has made many an hour pass
I’ve wrestled with config statements in my sleep
When a problem’s been kicking my ass

But this sim
deserves a HOTAS
of its own!

I’ve enjoyed countless sims
Across all the eras
But fly any sim long enough
You’ll soon find its errors

IL-2 had no soul
Falcon 4 was on rails
Wings of Prey had absurd time limits
In EECH I just flailed

BoB2 was just daunting
CFS3 seemed a bore
And Lock On-—well,
Let’s not start a flame war

Black Shark was a leap forward
But try as I might
Taking control of that beast
Just never quite felt right

But this sim
deserves a HOTAS
of its own!

DCS Warthog beta is now live
Wags’ latest is a new animal
This pig does indeed fly
And brings more pain than Hannibal

Built around a cannon
A mug only a mother could love
But no momma can save ya
When it rains hell from above

ED has done it again
Pushed the study sim to new heights
Better start reading that manual, friend,
To avoid forum “RTFM!” fights

Although still a beta
It feels just about perfect
Best ... flight ... model ... ever!
In my simmer’s heart, it does sure fit

And this sim
deserves a HOTAS
of its own!

But after 10 years with my Cougar
I must now ask myself:
How will it mesh with DCS Warthog?
Should I replace it with something else?

Extra buttons are needed
Plenty of switches is a must
The Cougar’s setup seems to fall short
And for me it’s realism or bust

To map the sim’s functions
I need more hats and switches
Keeping my hands on that throttle and stick
With the Cougar will be quite tricky

There are parts on the Cougar
That in DCS Warthog I would lose
Like the Antenna and Range rotaries
Now how would they get used?

Most important of all –
Split, the throttle simply must be
If I can’t control my engines individually
Other Hog drivers will surely mock me

It seems that this sim
deserves a HOTAS
of its own!

The HOTAS Warthog’s a thing of beauty
A toy a true simmer can relish
Bristling with so many switches
It makes Dr. Dre’s fingers jealous

For far too long now
I’ve more dabbled in sims than truly flown
But with the Warthog, both DCS and HOTAS,
I will finally come into my own!

Out of deep gratitude
If chosen SimHQ’s lucky winner
A nicely-modded near-mint Cougar
Will be won by another lucky simmer!

Because this sim
deserves a HOTAS
of its own!

Why you want a Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG?

I want one because I am a life long fan of Thustmaster HOTAS products and it is the only product I will use for simming. I once bought a Microsft stick not because it was better but because I wanted to play Mechwarrior and I wanted to "protect" my TM gear from the abuse it would get while playing a non-flight-sim game.

I have been there from the beginning with the FCS and WCS.

Then the FLCS and TQS. The ACM game Card. The Elite Pedals. Getting "Atta Boy!"s from my boss when he would see me hard at work programming joystick files, thinking I was working on work stuff smile

Then Bob Church's Digital Upgrades. Constantly upgrading my sound card so that I could get the best possible connection for my Joystick. I even strayed from the tried and true Sound Blaster gear when a review I read said that the Turtle Beach card had a digital joystick port.

Then the Cougar. God only knows how many hours my Cougar has on it. Un modded and working like a champ to this day. Has it been 10 years? I do not know but, its been a long and wonderful trip. I may but them on my mantel and tell stories of the adventures we have been on together to the curious folks who might see them and say "Why did that weirdo put joysticks on his mantle?"

So, now the Warthog. I do not want one because I need to replace my Cougar, I want one because I can't wait to have 2 HOTAS setups in my house... 1 for me and 1 for my kids so that I can pass on my passion for flight simulations to them.

TM gear has been very important to me most of my adult life. I am anxiously looking forward to the next chapter...

I still remember my first joystick...it was the old Thrustmaster Top Gun.From the time i unpacked it, i felt in love with it.The first game i tried it was Novalogic's F22 Raptor at novaworld.I remember how good it felt on my hand and how happy i was.It gave me the power to try harder and harder to become a good pilot but most of all to have fun:)
I never had an expensive joystick and the thought of getting the first HOTAS was a dream of mine.Years passed, sim games evolved, new joysticks came out, but nothing can beat the old good days.. Now the new HOTAS WARTHOG finnaly came out and i can say that i wanna, and hope,to relive the good old times with this joystick:)

"Why you want a Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG™"

This is easy:

DCS A-10C Warthog is totally cool and the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog is a must-have; using any other HOTAS would just be wrong.

My reason for wanting a HOTAS Warthog.

For thou are built from the best materials, for thou are shaped by thy blacksmith
With thy power and thy strength and all thy buttons.
For it is written in stone that thou are King and I am thy minion.
With thy power, I will slay all thy enemies, skybound and groundbound.
For it is I who will feel King, with thy, oh great Thrustmaster Warthog, King of HOTAS.
Within all the land of HOTAS, you will stand tall, tall and firm.
For thou are my Warthog, thou are my soul and with thou I shall be...INVINCIBLE!!

Why do you want a Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG?

I want a Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG because..
..it is big and size matters.
..it has 7 hat switches and I don't.
..it has HALL sensors that attract me.
..it is looking so real that it could be a dream.
..it is metal,
..it is heavy,
..it is heavymetal !
..it has two throttles and my car got only one.
..it has many switches that switch me on.
..it has no rotaries but who cares.
..it lasts longer.
..it has the real feel of the real deal.
..it has T.A.R.G.E.T. and I got targets.
..it is painted black as a black cat.
..it would make me believe I can fly.

..if I wrote 500 words you wouldn't have read 'em all.
..but all in all I want it more than all.
..that's all.

It was a dark and stormy night in 1987. I was flying at angels two over the Fulda Gap. My mission? Find the T-72s and turn 'em into ribbons. I passed the IP and my wingy caught sight of a column 7 clicks out. I queued up a AGM65 on the right wing and gave wingy an order to do the same. Turning into the target, I began to slew the target designator over the lead tank when I knew something wasn't right. No response from the targeting system. In a panic I ran through the checklist and everything came up green. Suddenly, my bird started banking to the right and I was in a panic. Too close to the ground and no time to correct. I watched the terrain come up in the HUD and I SWORE RIGHT THEN AND THERE.... I will never fly an A-10 using a MOUSE again. I need a Thrustmaster HOTAS.

Robots are stealing my luggage.

For my pool English, I Usually just read articles(with English-Chinese Dictionary) from SimHQ, and it's my first reply. Why I want a Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG because I'm creazy about flight sims, but I just use keyboard to fly my A10 C. Flight sim software already cost me $60, a HOTAS is too much for me to bear. the HOTAS WARTHOG is dreaming JOYSTICK for me, I wander I could have one someday.

I feel like i lack the creativity to compete in this.
Since losing my X-45 i've been without my flight simulations.
SO let's begin the pity party!
Months ago, i used to enjoy the greatness of Il-2 1946 to make up for my losing my CD for Lock-On.
That was on my old computer.
Finally i had the money to upgrade, and i did.
I couldn't wait.
I was going to get Il-2 up and running, then grab Lock-On once i had gotten my fill and play that. All of them in nice high-res glory.
So, i got the game through Steam...got it installed. Set the game up, launched it. Then realized i forgot to plug in my joystick.
So i hopped up, got it plugged in...and then stared as it kind of just sat there...and flashed the lights a bit.
I looked down and the chord from the USB port to the joystick was split.
I turned back to the corner where it had been in a box, and there was the new Puppy my girlfriend had gotten, looking happy as can be.
So, since then i have been without a joystick.
Sadly timing wasn't on my side, and i lost my job right about the time i lost my joystick (I'm curious which i was more upset about...), so since getting a new one later on, i've been working to pay off the late payments i built up without the cash flow.
I've been meaning to get a new one, but sadly i keep hitting 0 in the bank before the next paycheck gets here.
Some day though, i will replace my trusty X-45.
So, anyhow, this wasn't meant to be a pity story.
Although if that's what works...awesome.
I'm hoping to win and get the Warthod from Thrustmaster, because it looks great.
I would love a new Joystick, to get me back into flight sims.
And i would definitely love firing up DCS A-10 and doing some mudmoving with the proper stick.
Nothing says immersion more than a perfect joystick sitting on your L-shaped desk.
Just like the real A-10!
But, like i said.
I feel that there are more creative posts here.
Definitely some deserving talent.
Anyhow, best of luck to everyone.
Any to the winner, you lucky #%&*$#! cuss2
