I gotta say this is my favorite sim right now, due to the amazing terrains, great-looking planes, decent flight models, and just downright beautiful environment.
If only it had a mission editor, and a modding community, it would have been the best combat sim ever, and I have owned them all.
So even though I #%&*$# on the "sequel" thread, I certainly will buy it if it really is an upgrade.
Oh yeah, I forget to mention, the fire/smoke, crash sounds, etc are by FAR the best I have ever seen, so cheers to the developers, I hope it becomes a full title.
See yall on the multiplayer servers.

I suspect it's just a matter of time and how they deal with the sequel. Anyhow, since we've been addicted to it , the sequel will be a must to have! I haven't bought it yet but just returned from a 10 minutes walk through the demo, OUTSTANDING! The Arcade mode is just like H.A.W.K. which is brilliant! The Simulator is also very good as far as flight model goes. I'm just wondering if anyone of you know if the ground structure I mean the houses and other facilities are destructable? Anyway, even they're not I'll still buy it, it's definitely going into my Flight Simulation Collection library!

They started talking about a sequel a long time ago, so I assume it's in the works. With Apache coming out in Nov, I don't know if that slowed things down or not? Looking forward to the sequel though.

and if you have already bought the game and registered they will give you all that for free as DLC.. Hey Trooper, where did you read this new sequel will be free to WoP owners? I can't believe they'll do it, considering the costs to develop it on new code. Greg

What they said was the the DLC for the second one that comprises the content of this first release will be free for you.

Greg Hi mate.. as Dano said, it's the game content that we already have that will be available as free DLC.. you still will end up paying for the new sequel, which is fair in my eyes. If we want this game to progress with new features that people have been asking for, then a sequel is the only way forward.. so I'll pay for it, no question.. it's either that or we stick with what we have and the game will never advance..

Agreed. I'll pay for the sequel. SoW will get old with a single plane scenario if they don't quickly produce more maps and a variety of aircraft.

Like the original poster, this is my favourite flight game at the moment, it's sheer visual beauty keeps me playing it over and over, and with the ability to put different skins on my aircraft due to some very talented skinners out there it has enhanced things even more.. For the price paid.. (Just under Ł28 for Wings of Prey, Wings of Luftwaffe, plus the P-40 add on) it's well worth the money! Great looking gameplay for sure.. Trailer
