Hey all - being married recently and with school back in (daughter is in middle school now) I have had to take a break from coding. I have not picked it up for two reasons: no time and Neoqb is working on a full fledged campaign. In truth I hope that Neoqb's campaign is so good that I can abandon the software. If Neoqb moves in a direction such that there is still a reason to continue, I will pick it back up.

Great airplane sale - I just dropped $40 to buy the entire stable. I am hoping that the release of two seaters, even AI only, will happen concurrently with the campaign.

So let me take this occasion to congratulate and to say thank you for what you've given to me so far.
Thank you thank you and thank you. Best wishes for you family.

Michael.

Yes, it seems that Pat has given us a truly top tool to play with here, so thanks from me too.

I wanted to check out the process of creating and reporting a mission, before my RoF IC order arrives later this week - but I get an error trying to create a mission, it says it can't find the path. I guess it's looking for the RoF install that isn't present yet?

most likely, yes.
It puts a generated mission file into your ROF missions folder and it misses that directory, I suppose.

Michael.

Very cool proggy - hats off to Pat - hope he updates one more time to add the missing planes. cheers

OK - you do have to have RoF before you can create a mission - makes sense right? Here is what I suggest - once you have installed RoF:
1. Unzip RoF Camp into the RoF root directory (it has its own folder so it is nice and neat)
2. Create a shortcut for the RoF Camp Java app and move it to your desktop
3. Press Planes Owned button an check off all that apply/save
4. Press the Configuration button and season to taste/save
5. Press the Create New button and set up a country/pilot/timeframe/squad - and save
6. THEN press the Create Mission button and it will work. Hit Accept and then go to RoF under missions and you will see it listed w/ a date/mission type/pilot name

Rgr, gonna do that. I noticed the Tripe and Pup not present, but I suppose this will still work with never game versions, just they won't appear in the missions? I'll try my hand at a "Second Battle of the Somme" first, since that goes so nicely with reading "Winged Victory". So I guess the missing planes won't matter to me...

Does RoF accept alt-tabbing to get back to the campaign interface?

Patrick,

Congratulations to you and your new bride!

I just downloaded your Campaign generator. It is truly a tremendously addition to Rise of Flight. It "encourages" me to buy all the planes available biggrin . Thank you for your effort.

Nobody can blame you for putting coding on the back burner, some things are more important smile

Thanks for your effort so far.
