A few screens from the new open beta
Images were taken with MSAA on/off, HDR on/off, TSSAA on/off
First impression is the graphics are very scalable
All screens were shot in the "East Georgia - Spring" Quick Mission

Resolution: 1680x1050
Processor: i7-920
GPU: ATI Asus HD5870
RAM: 6 GB DDR3

This next series shows a few different graphic settings.

They show...
MSAA off
MSAA on (8x,16x,16xQ)
HDR on/off
TSSAA on/off

I know you said these are from the beta, but will the final version have more trees and ground features? Or is that known yet?
Strikes me as a little odd to have only a few trees surrounding an urban area but the rest relies on coloring the landscape and some minor objects. Maybe I'm missing something? I see a setting on the menu there on the right.

I can't answer for what is planned. I'm not on the beta testing team.

There is adjustability in the shrubbery, but mostly it was the specific quick mission I was showing. Here is another with lots of trees.

So the drunken duck manouvre I had so much fun with in LO:FC2 is out? I just initiated a roll and then jammed the rudder to the opposite site. Looked hilarious though I doubt you would want to do that IRL, in LO:FC2 you could do it with full load of armament and it would barely loose you airspeed. Kinda told me enough about the flight model there and then wink

I'd recommend against using it, I have had some fairly hairy moments at vlow altitude and suddenly no airspeed.

Looks mighty good! Can't wait for my first flight in this sim. It's gonna be better than CT

Seriously, like it has a big, fat wing with lots of stuff hanging off it. biggrin

I tried a deep banking turn near stall like I was used to in the LOMAC A-10A and... that didn't work too well. hahaha

There were times when Sgt. Ivanov thought that staying back home in the tractor factory might not have been such a bad idea after all.
Despite the snazzy uniforms, the cool hats and the chance to fool around with high-explosive, inflammable stuff.

So, is there anything about this sim that makes it feel like it's still in beta?
