Anyone had this?
My friend has this trouble with ROF..I talked him into to upgrading his puter and buying ROF and he likes it but now...He clicks on the update screen and it just disappears!! the update screen just goes bye bye and nothing else happens. If he tries to start the game it says he needs to update. He has win7 home i7-860 and has successfully installed and played the last update.
Any ideas?

He has as of now un and re installed ROF ICE 4 times. Deleting all ROF folders and rebooting before reinstall. This guy bougth a $1,300 computer and $160 of trackir gear just for ROF. He is at his wits end and I don't blame him. Can anyone give me a clue as to how to help him? Or who I can talk to that might be able to help?

are there any log files in the main Risoe Of Flight dir?

Your friend could download the official 1.014b full installer from the torrent link provided by Han (do a search at official RoF forums) and install the current version of the game from there. He should make sure to have installed all necessary dependencies just to make sure.
