Hi, Greetings to the EAW community from another EAW veteran. wink I thought I use the holidays to have a look whats new in EAW and found the 1.28E. I downloaded it and installed it to a plain EAW installation. Running the EAW exe 1.28E all seems to work normally (screens, sounds, config, plane preview), but as soon as I start a mission I see the cockpit, hear the engine sound and even a message from the wingman but then the game freezes. I have to use a hard reset to get my computer up again.
Never had this before. I also tested an old EAW installation that is still on my HD and this one works fine...

Did anyone encounter such a problem?
Could it be that the new exe doesn't run in Win98? Maybe I'm one of the very few that still use it...

Hi Andy!

Nice to see you back. cool

As to your problem, did you copy your CD, or install it from the CD?

If you installed it, you'll need to delete the install, and simply copy your CD to a folder and then patch it to 1.28E.

Then give it a go. smile

Hi Andy,

plug a joystick or set ForceFeedback = 0

That might cure the problem.

Guten Rutsch,

Ralf
