I need some help with mounting my CDs on "virtual drives".

What I want to do: Play Rainbow 6 Raven Shield and SWAT 4 without constantly swapping my discs out.

I have downloaded Daemon tools lite. But when I try to mount my Ravensheild CD in my CD/DVD drive, it doesn't do anything. The only file types the program supports seem to be .iso/image files.

Both games are installed on my PC of course.

So, is what I am trying to do even possible? Or to play them without the disc, would I have to create an .iso file of my discs and keep them on my hard drive?

Yes. With some games it' possible to create a "mini image", an ISO that just has the first few MB of the disk and is enough to satisfy copy protection, but there are some copy protection schemes that will require the full image.

Here's a solution for ya; Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.4.0

It's freeware, just found it on download.com and it has a 4 1/2 star user rating so it's pretty much guaranteed to be a good product. Being a noob here, I'm not sure if SimHQ allows pasting url's for this kind of stuff but I highly recommend download.com, as do many software companies, including AVG. I have Alcohol 120 but i'm going to download and try this one out myself. At 1.49 mb's it doesn't take up much space.

Regarding Ravenshield, I just finished the Athena Sword campaign last week and there are a ton of really good add on maps available for both Raven and Athena on the game's fan site.

Which exact fan site is this?

Any any particular maps that are of good quality that you'd recommend?

I recently downloaded a weapon/iron sight mod and want to give the game a 4th run through, so I'll try this program you mentioned.
