A review of the sim at Amazon.com claims that there is no way to adjust joystick sensitivity from inside the simulator, meaning that if your joystick doesn't come with software doesn't allow you to adjust it, you have no choice but to use the default curve in the simulator. Since I use no curve at all (something that no simulator ever has by default), but rather direct input, this is very bad news for me. Is it true?

You can adjust joystick, throttle and pedals curves inside RoF. By adjusting curves, you can modify thus sensitivity, which is in my understanding just a particular case of a curve (different slope instead of default one). I suppose is all in the demo smile

Excellent. Not the first time someone's been grossly wrong on Amazon.com.

Benny,

If it is an old review then they were correct at the time. Not sure when it got addressed, but initially you set these in the launcher, went in game & tested, exited game and made adjustments and so forth until the release that put this in game.

Oh, well, even that would've been good enough for me, as long as there was some way to adjust it. I don't think I could effectively fly if forced to use a curve; I used one for years and then learned that using direct input instead was harder to do but gives you much more precision in high-alpha maneuvers. It's much, much harder to accidentally stall at high alpha with direct joystick input. Admittedly, gunnery is harder and requires a very precise joystick, such as my CH Combat Stick.

It's a very slick setup, you can even change it in flight if you want. Saves a ton of time.
