It's no secret that I like the career missions; they're varied and over all well put together.
It is also no secret that I've long thought that it is just a matter of tweaking to turn them from good to
outstanding. No windsock at the aerodrome, too little opposition at the objective, and recon planes without escort.
So I've taken to modifying the missions presented. It makes them more challenging and takes care of some of my nitpicks - as well as being a good way to learn the FMB, as working examples are provided.
Anyhow, my first go:

More baddies at objective.
Recons escorted.
Balloon is present from the beginning of the mission so no pop-in.
Wingmen and bad guys get names (even though I don't use icons, I thought it was cool).
Custom skins for Escadrille and named Aces (though one needs the skin pack, linked in the infamous Martin SPAD AAR thread).
Friendly AA gun at bridge where recon flight is.
I'm working on the second, including adding in some stuff at the aerodrome to make it look more lived in.
