Salutations.

I was just trying out F4 AF on my (relatively) new computer, and while it does load up the instant action mission it will quickly start stuttering and then freezing after a few seconds of flight. Eventually everything goes dark and I get a Blue Screen of Death and a reboot.

Obviously, this is not something I want to experiment with too much, and I was wondering if this is a known issue for a system like mine, and if there is a solution.

Here are my specs:

Win 7 64-bit
i7 920 @3ghz
6 gig DDR3 RAM
nVidia GTX 285 w/ 2gig RAM

The game is patched to the latest version. I tried running it in compatibility mode for XP SP 3, and in administrator mode, to no avail.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Try going to the setup/graphics screen, and choosing "direct 3d hal" (not the one with "t&l").

That should (hopefully) fix your problem - I believe you're experiencing an issue with win7 64 bit and the newer nvidia cards/drivers that has come up with Falcon.
