Time compression is 5x.
This will be a dawn (6 AM) to dusk (6 PM) event and minimal headlight use should be required.

Files Installation

It is highly recommended you do a clean installation of the ILMS add-on.

1) Remove your current ILMS 2.77 installation and any residue files.
2) Remove any current versions of Road America.
3) Install a clean version of ILMS v2.77.
4) Install the updated rfm file.
5) Install the customized Road America track.

Setups

Fixed setups by LazyCrust (THANKS LC!). If you would like to tune/tweak any of the setups, please exchange your setup with other drivers of the same car. If there is a consensus, we will make that the new setup for the car at Road America. Otherwise the current setup will be retained.

As far as the setups go, donīt bother downloading the ones Doug posted. They are basically the default with way to short gearings for this track. Iīll have some updated ones in a couple of days

I will probably consider change to LMP1, but I am not travelling with no access to simracing PC and carpack. But if I do so it will be Dome P1 as well to use skin JonC painted for me.

On side note: sad to see LagunaSeca cancelled. Sorry I could not sign up there, but I boarding for travel that Sep12th afternoon. I am sure you guys enjoy Bristol that day instead.

Laguna Seca will return, but at a date that is more accommodating to the crowd.

Unless it was symptomatic of a growing lack in interest for the 2.5 series.

Despite some distractions coming from soon to be released titles (F1 2010, WRC, GT5) I hope Road America will bring the spark back to this series.

RA is really amazing place to simrace. Although I admit I never tried that in rFactor, my experiences in GTL, GTR2 and GTREvo are nothing but great.

Most importantly there is great sensation of speed when simracing there, plus the track has an amazing rythm, that is key to keep concentration on endurance simrace.

No annoying chicanes or hairpins. Vast selelection of corners of all sort of speeds, but all of type that is giving reward for hitting apex precisely and fore thinking of exit speeds.

I admit this was the track that thought me to eliminate some bad habits developed in my early simrace life of offline driving of GP2/GP3/GP4 when I thought 'brake as late as possible' is best and only racing technique.

I'm going to dip my toe into the water. Before the Laguna Seca event was cancelled I was running some laps around it. Sadly, I see I'm not a great road racer yet. I haven't decided on a car yet but I don't want to be in anyone's way, I'll be off the pace and maybe off the track more than anything.
