Just a little vid showing the progress of the update for WarFX Particles. BIS should hire this guy to do their special effects lol!

I saw this the other night and forgot to post it. I wasn't crazy for the previous versions, but this doesn't look too bad.

From what I understood the first ver. was just to add some cool "Hollywood" effects to liven up the game; but as more and more people got interested/gave feedback, he decided to make them more realistic.

I just can't stand the BIS default effects, too 'bleh'

Oh, and it will be modular so if you don't like certain things you can remove/replace them.

Any idea what version they show in that video? I tried 1.41 and got strange fire effect. Like a burning tank where the fire is just "flipping" around. confused Anyone tried it with better results?

It's the newest version (which hasn't been released yet biggrin )
Yes, the spinning fire is a known issue from OA because BIS changed the particle effects; and WarFX was never officially updated for OA. All these issues should be fixed for the next version.

.

Two questions - what kinda time-frame we looking at for release? - and Is ARMA2 a lil more friendly with these kinda MODs and jumping on the SimHQ server?
