Make sure you have the latest Java package installed

The reason your campaign opens with your Nokia Ovi app is down to file extension association. Normally though it's winrar that tries to steal the extension.
Right click RoFCampaign.jar and select open with java if it's available to select. If not you'll have to browse to the java.exe, which you'll find in C:\program files\java\bin.

My first post here! Prowd new POF ICE owner
I've got the latest version (5.2), of this great tool, installed properly the global skins pack,
but I can't find a way to assign custom schemes to my squadron...
I can't make any other changes exept from the picture of the individual pilots of the squadron.
Any ideas?

PS It seems that the skinpack mod works for every other squadron involved in the generated missions...

I partialy solved the problem by using a new default skin.
From the ROF Campaign ReadMe:
.....
Squadron:
- Pilot pictures
- Assign individual skins to your squadron mates.
- Assign historically accurate skins at a squadron level.
- Implemented historical accuracy.
- Improved historical accuracy of aircraft assignments.
....
The only thing I can select and change by clicking the individual pilots is the pilot picture only.

I missed that one, not noticed it before.
....and never tried to assign individual skins other than a quick and nasty edit of the mission file.

For Squad skins, they follow the Neoqb naming standard. If you have the RoF skin packs and Ansiral's skin packs most Squadrons have a representation. If not you can check in the data files located in the RoF Campaign folder and look for the skin name for the squadron/jasta and import a skin. Can't remember the exact names of the squadron data files, but they are in there.

In the SquadronInfo file all the info including skins is stored. (RoFCampaign\Data\Input\).
Also in the campaigns folder, (RoFCampaign\campaigns\"Pilot Name"), by editing the file with the same name as your pilot,
you can assign skins to your Squadron mates as well.

It should be.
The generic Jasta 6 skin I assigned by editing the SquadronInfo file, not there by default, showes up normally.
Skinning in RoF is a bit more complicated than, lets say IL-2, and I haven't tried anything yet,
to have enough individual skins to assign to my "squadmates".

I have another question: By clicking a pilot name either on Squadron or Top Aces you can't go back to the menu.
Is this dead end normal? Sometimes can be frustrating...

It wont work. The .campaign file just runs the Squadron info in the gui. The only way I've found to add single skins for my flight is to edit the actual mission file. In fact Ace skins aren't working either

On the Aces screen and Squadronm Screen you can go back. Noy sure what is happening there for you.
